I was on amitriptyline my doctor took me took off them and took me off co-dydramol and put co-codamol

Hi

I'm on oramorph, zomorph, nortriptyline, pregabalin and naproxen. Don't know what I'd be like if I didn't take them as I still get lots of pain. Love you all xxxx

I don't take any prescription painkillers due to too many adverse reactions.

I try to do lots of small things in the hope they all add up to a difference!

Stretch. Hurts like hell but does help.

I walk when I can. On bad days I can't and just have to accept that but on better days I walk all I can.

I take turmeric and was definitely worse the month I went without it. I also take Vitamin D, Selenium and some Ayurveidic capsules.

I use magnesium spray to help relax muscles, hot baths and showers, use Perskindol gel ( ran out last week- it was a more painful week waiting for new supplies) and a tens machine.

I developed awful IBS symptoms and found these disappeared as soon as I started taking a probiotic daily. Loads of different ones available so I went for a mid price Solgar one.

Hey holly berry

it very interesting u mentioned the ibs symptoms.

About same time gp told me i had either fibro or eds i also gained ibs??

Wander why this is!?

I do not take any drugs due to this aa anything upset my belly apart from natural supplements.

I went to a naturopath and she suggested a inflammation diet ie no dairy no gluten.

Which has helped With all my symptoms

I also take peppermint oil capsules, probiotics, digestive enzymes, msm, cq10,glucosamine( vegetarian) and vit c and d. All in all it goin well.

I also took a little trip to amsterdam with my husband where as u know they treat there illnesses totally diff to way we do here in uk and i tried some cbd oil ans i got to say that has helped alot to.

I stretch everyday about 4-5 times a day otherwise ur muscles spasm if there not used that can sometimes b the cause of the pain. I walk ALOT( i have two dogs who need a good couple walks a day ) and i still work part time.

So i find moving helps me more then not moving if i dont move i get more pain

CBD has worked wonders for my chronic pain. I have reduced my opiate by 40% and my nortriptyline by a third. I am looking to remove all opiate medication by the end of next month.

My activity levels are up too. 19,000 steps yesterday.

Hi Dee do you mind if I ask what CBD oil you use? only I have been using the Holland and Barrett one but seem to need a lot of drops. The other day I bought some gummy bears with 10mg in and I have been taking them of a night time and sleeping much better managing to cut down on the amitriptyline so just wondered where you get yours.

many thanks Tina

Hey chrystal

As u seen from my answer above i use cbd oil have now for about 5 months fantastic stuff but unfortunately the saying “ u get what u pay for” has never been truer.

The holland and barratt one is by no where near as strong as u would need it to make a significant difference to any inflammation in ur body. U would literally have to drink bottle of it.

I use medihemp which is the one they recommend in the medical Shops in amsterdam. It 10% raw oile. I noticed difference in my body within 10 days especially as he told me to use it with 1500mg of glucosamine to and it been pretty amazing.

It is £60 a bottle but hey id pay double to not have to take mind numbing stomach upsetting

Painkiller.

U have no adverse reactions u would not even know u had taken anything apart from pain relief... it is natural so u must b aware it does take time to work like i said mine took 5-6 days

Thanks for info, is it the raw oil or the bio one that you buy? my daughter is going to Amstedam next week do you think she would be able to buy it cheaper there?

Sorry just re-read your message and you said raw. I just looked into ordering it online but it said that it couldn't ship to UK? what websites you order from?

Thanks again

Hi Crystal. In my opinion Holland and Barrett oil is not worth bothering with. Low grade product with low percentage of CBD.

I use paste from CBD brothers. Green which is 14% during the day and purple ,16% in the evening. 3 doses a day. Start small and build up. No point in taking too much. A rice grain size of paste is fine. I put mine on a tiny bit of ginger nut and hold under tongue for 3 minutes. VERY important to leave at least 2 hours before and after cbd for other pain medication. I take cbd first thing about 7 am then my opiate ( reducing dose 😃) around 9.30. Same in the evening and I take more cbd about 1.30 - 2pm.

It's working for me but doesn't for everyone.

The paste is more economical as no mess . I use CBD brothers chocolates for when I am out as squeezing paste onto a biscuit is awkward in public !!!

Hope this is helpful

Dee
