Hi Nick, I don't have much luck with painkillers I'm afraid. They either send me wonky or I have an allergic reaction. The most I have is ibuprofen which doesn't really do much but it can take the edge off depending where the pain is. I usually use compression aids (like tubigrip) or heat to function (again depends where the pain is). if I have to be mobile I use heat patches which I find very effective. You can usually pick up from a pharmacy or supermarkets although they can be pretty pricey. Hope that helps
I am currently investigating tens machines. Have you tried one? I react badly to most drugs so anything drug free is the way forward for me. Good luck hope you find something that works.
that's a shame. Epsom salts is the only thing to give me some relief. Nice soak in the bath but have to make sure there is someone around just in case I can't get out again!
I took a tramaset Sunday night. Needed a good nights sleep. Only 37.5 dose. Slept great but yesterday I was like a bear with a sore head. It wasn’t until this morning when my head is clearer I realise how much it affected me.
A good tens machine helps me,that and morphine.or a bath/shower with Epsom salts
It isn't always for those who is sensitive to medications and as it is such a hot heat relief cream it may require a 24hr patch test (made from Capsicum Peppers!)
It might help though and it could be worth discussing it with your GP
Hi Nick, i'd avoid tramadol like the plague! My doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia 25 years ago and prescribed me with tramadol and diazepam! Masks pain very briefly and highly addictive, i binned them after a month as i had gone from 8 a day to 30. Ive only found relief through Cannabis, Tai Chi and Yoga. Try CBD oil, exercise, diet and breathing is the only thing ive found that can manage this condition How were you diagnosed? Misdiagnosis is quite common, a bit like IBS. Im a Glazier and this time of year kills me, keeping active and stretch mate. Hope this helps.
