Hello Jan11

The pain you are referring may be Costochondritis, which is something I have alongside the Fibromyalgia, link below;

nhs.uk/conditions/costochon...

However, as it is chest pain you should consider speaking with your GP for a formally diagnosis as these kinds of pain should be alerted to your Healthcare Professional.

Hope this helps

Emma :)

What Emma said. OR it can be your lats that need to be moved around and stretched from being laid on every night. Keep moving. I have the same thing. You aren’t dying and you need to focus on breathing more deeply to expand and find space in between your ribs. Oblique dysfunction is also to blame. I find Gyrotonics to help with this pain tremendously.

Oh Heck yes...this is how my Fibro initially reared it's ugly face in my life. It's not Costochondritis in my case cuz it never goes away & Costochondritis will typically in few months. I've been in this rib pain for 5 years now. Started on right side now entire torso wrap of rib pain. It's like Costochondritis on steroids!! Lifting will aggravate it horribly. Hate for you to be having this too.

Breathe more deeply and and try Gyrotonics. It lowers your nervous system, and makes you feel great in a gentle way.

Serrated anterior should also be looked at. See an experienced PT.

yes I have. After checking it was not a cardiac issue a dr told me it is quite common in vitamin D deficiency disorders.

Hi Yes I have. Unable to wear a bra. Dr checked for cardiac issues then said it was due to low vitamin D. I would advise getting an assessment from your GP then take it from there. Good luck.

Yes unfortunately this was the start of my fibro I can't wear a bra or even a tight vest. The tenderness is there all the time and certain movements or carrying anything at all heavy starts it off even worse. Anti-inflammatory drugs and Pregablin has taken the top edge off it. You have my sympathy.x

Thanks again for all your input.Was checked by dr re:cardiac all tests ok.I was diagnosed with osteoporosis back last year,perhaps it may be related to that and fibromyalgia ,take care all.

Yes it may be the osteoporosis are u being treated for it ?

Did you have a dexa scan? Have u got a vitamin D deficiency disorder? Have you been seen by an endocrinologist?

Some medications can cause it . xxx
