Morning

Yes I had this as well mine wasn't to run out until January 2019 and got the same thing this January. It seems that this is normal for them to review a year before. Mine was sent back the last week of January I haven't heard anything yet. Is it the one where it says harder, easier, no change?

Dont worry they contact everyone 12months before their pip is due to end so as to get all the information they need in plenty of time it tells you this on your original award letter. You will probably get your reply in two months like I did, dont be afraid to put any new illnesses on the forn. I was given pip for four years untill 4nov 2018 received the renewal on the 5th 2017 and got a reply on the 20th jan and they gave me pip award till Jan 2010 with no face to face or anything. What a massive surprise was that! Although I thought it with would end Nov 2029 I'm not too worried. Good luck on yours!

Its very easy doing it yourself basically ticking yes or no to guestions like are you the same or worse. Nothing to get worried about honestly.

Morning Mel ☺️ I guess you could use your old papers to copy from. But remember to tell them if things have become worse since you was last assessed. If I remember there is a section that asks you this. Also remember to add copies of any medical results X-ray etc. That you may have had done since your last claim it always help to add as much updated information as you can. Do you have no one who could help you go through the form and tick the boxes and answer the questions?

I am adding a link of helpful addresses in case you need to look for help. But as others say just take your time it is straight forward just tiring. So try not to fill it out all at once. Take it over a few days and do it a bit at a time.

The form to reapply is nothing like the one you had to fill in the first time. Like I said it only asks a few questions on your illnesses ie, is your condition the same or worsened and you just tick the appro box, very simple and would only take you 45mins max.

Hi there, nice to meet you. I filled in my pip assessment change over forms from DLA in November. While it did seem more straight forward as you said than the original forms it did take us longer than 45 mins. Or maybe it just felt that way lol

While a few do go through with out an assessment depending on circumstances I believe many more do have to go through an assessment.

My assessment had to be done at home and it took 2 hours. Even though I got 22 out of 24 points the assessor still had to come out even though they had all my medical notes. I think the assessor was wondering why I was been put through it too. But I guess it can sometimes be a lottery.

But I agree the forms where easier but seemed to have what I felt where trick questions to them. So I would say to anyone take their time and re read questions before putting in an answer. There was questions asked as well as boxes to be ticked. Xx

I can only say maybe u will also receive this form as for what I have read everyone must do I really don't know but I would suggest u do expect too an of u don't then bonus...I've no idea with regards to not going the GP etc for anymore spots perhaps ask yr gp to write a letter in support of yr conditions explaining them for u to send in it may cost u but it is worth it I paid my gp for letter supporting my esa assessment being taken at home it went into great detail an it got me my home assessment so a letter simular for u but not for assessment obvs may help u too...good luck 🍀 xx

Hello I went over to benefits and work and not a lot came up from wjat i cpuld find over this form it said its a new form an they don't have much info on them yet. But I went thru the form over a few days of pondering an decided to fill it in myself as the answers i give will be the same answers i give to an adviser who would ask me for the answers but what ever happens happens not much to update on bit i did update them on what was new since last year as I was just awarded last year so I'm sure they must realise not much will change if they do their checks like they say they do they should find out I ve not come any better just worse in 8 years since I first applied but was refused back then and didn't 're apply until last year when I just couldn't fight thru anymore hoping they do their checks an see this so fingers crossed. With there being mixed results then I guess I have to just see what they say an do...thank u for yr reply advice an info much appreciated xx
