Yes yes yes. Really bad. You just said what I always say that you feel like a 90 yr old 😣. I had what they call "clicky" hips as a baby and wondering is that coming back to haunt me. I take amitriptyline, gabapentin and duloxotine but nothing works. I sleep with a cushion between my knees but I find it hard to lie on my side or back. 😠.

I am finding it worse this year. The damp cold weather does not help.

I have problems with my hips too, particularly my right one, I too feel about 90 but I'm only 48. I'm just coming off gabapentin as it didn't agree with me, but now take slow release tramadol and nortriptyline and top up with paracetamol if needed.

Ho Kingy07 , I don't get pain in my hips but I can appreciate feeling like a 90 year old some days. I am sorry you have fibro but you have come the right place for help and advice. Most nights the pain in my hips is so bad it wakes me up, seems to be at it's worst around 5-6 o'clock in the morning.

Amongst other things I have both Fibromyalgia & Arthritis so it looks like I am getting the *best* of both worlds 😟 .

Hi, I suffered with pain in my hips and was diagnosed with bursitis and given steroid injections to help with the pain. It was the beginning of my journey and this led to diagnoses of fibromyalgia. I have since had the injections done also in my shoulders and a few more into my hips, I’m very lucky because it has worked every time for me, my GP who always does it always goes through a short list on what to do and what not to do to help the injection work and does mention that sometimes it doesn’t. Hope this helps a little xxxx

The cold weather is always bad for us, but this year it seems particularly bad. I too have major hip pain, and I find heat pads help, or hot water bottles, while wrapping up in a duvet.

Hi. Yes my hips do ache badly, especially worse in the cold weather. I went to the local shop on my scooter this morning YES everyone, I am actually using my Mobility Scooter and in the daylight lol.

But Oooh la la when I got home my legs and face were freezing. You just need to wrap up as warm as possible.

Hips, knees and now feet and big toes some nights I could scream with the pain I take morphine which keeps it at bay some of the time as well as amytryptiline but if I have done too much or even sometimes not enough the pain is bad it wakes me up at night as I like to sleep on my stomach but end up with severe backache so move to my sides but then end up with my hips and knees hurting. It’s just one long nightmare. You could try Epsom salts spray oils to see if it helps sometimes find a wheatbag or two can help with the pain.

Sending you hugs

Jackie
