I have had the most horrendous pain in and around my left hip. Every movement made me wince and I couldn’t even get to appointments without my crutches. No medication worked or even eased it a little.
It has started to ease now. On top of that I’ve had to have two new pairs of glasses as my eyesight has changed so much in a year and I’ve been put on a new steroid inhaler and have now noticed that my right hand & right side of face seem to swell in the night. When will there be a break it’s really getting me down.

Have you told your dr about the adverse reaction to the steroid inhaler?
I read an article yesterday in the TIMES paper about opiods being useless for chronic pain. Also saw an article in the Lancet about statins causing peripheral neuropathy and also fibro!
Thedr is called Prof Sherif Sultan a vascular specialist. The dr talking about the opiods is Dan Clauw.
Hi thanks for replying. I haven’t yet spoken with my dr but I’m seeing her next week. I’ve heard about the satins and I was aware of the opioids 😞 I wonder when we have been on certain meds for so long our bodies become used to them and they don’t relieve us as much as they originally did.
I have had pain problem with my hip on and off for years. I found a sports therapist who said I needed to strengthen my core muscles in order to support my hip muscles. He performed some myofascial massage and gave me exercises to do. Best treatment I have ever had for my fibro. Doing these exercise just twice a week combined with carrying out the massage on myself has made a big difference.
Hi Tinkerjack. Had that hip thing for a few months so I went to the gp and he pulled my leg around so hard I thought it would come out of the socket 😂 I suppose he was making sure before sending me for an X-ray and not wanting to waste resources😂 Anyway, turned out I had Gluteus medius tendonopathy and some degeneration of discs in lower spine. Crawled around on crutches for about a year. Just getting over that and diagnosed with diverticulosis December 2017. Now cataracts January 2018. Jeez. I'm falling apart 😂😂. It's no funny but people keep on telling me how well I look 😂😂
