hey everyone, I hope you are all doing okish, I’ve had a right few months of sheer H***

the doctors put won a statin, which instantly constipated me, I’m never c, I’m always ibs-d , so doc puts me on laxido, my days , I won’t go into the mess. So I had an impact bowel, 7 weeks and boom. Now my blinking bladder has kicked in 🙄, I’m in so much pain, and my meds have been taken away from me. Does anyone have any advice, remedies for cramped bladder, possibly icts. I’m pulling my hair out grrrrr, just about had it 🤬.

Wishing you all a peaceful night sleep. Hugs to all 🤗🤗🤗 xx

Hi Blue-52I find once my gut/bladder kicks off I am sensitive to most things and feel stress more keenly.

Sleep ,avoiding stimulus like tea, coffee, alcohol, red meat.

Because the cycle often leads to trouble or hospital I get stressed when it starts which makes it worse.

Easy to say reduce stress, this is stressful!

In 2019 my gut stopped working altogether and I had a perforation. Almost had to have a stoma.

Seek medical help if pain gets bad.

Using probiotics and reducing sugar and stimulants has reduced pain.

You an keep a food diary and watch if some food makes it worse.

I hope you find something that helps. I found kefir and info from Dr Michael Moseley useful.

Sleep and gut health will improve other issues.

Take care

Gigi

Hi Blue-52, What a nightmare you're having! You say ALL your meds have been taken away?

Amitriptyline or similar may help with your pain if you can get it or even take it and an antihistamine might be worth trying?

Definitely let your GP know how much pain you are in though.

Hi CheetieCat , sorry I didn’t explain it very clearly, I was only able to tolerate Cocodamol , but because of the codeine, they have suspended it, so all I have is paracetamol huh smarties, and movelate.

I have a telephone appointment later today, see what they say ??

Thank you for advice.

It turns out one of my meds are wrong , and kicked it off, so now have to see pharmacist and find out what the heck. And now taking baking powder yuuuuuk to calm it down 🤢. I hate drinking this.

Oh my goodness, poor thing, I’m lactose and gluten intolerant and wheat, and blinking everything lol. But I have just checked my stomach tablets and the brand inside isn’t my usual brand, weird one, but now I know why my bladder is not playing up. Hubby going to pharmacy tomorrow, I’m livid, I’ve lost enough weight , without losing any more.

I hope you get yours sorted, it’s a nightmare sourcing lactose free meds and foods. Good luck, and thank you. Xx hugs back, gentle ones.

Oh my Blue-52 I can relate with you there, It felt like labour I couldn't stop pushing, My Hubby got some rubber gloves and some lube along with a tea spoon, Kneeling on the bathroom floor butt in the air, impact feaca mass (sorry can't spell)

My Hubby is the most kind, understanding and loving man I have ever known,I think we were always meant to be together and not just for doing that, Called the doctors and was prescribed a liquid laxative, If I empty my bowels once fortnightly I'm happy with that, The doc said if Hubby was not there I could have had a heart attack with all the pushing,

Hubby sips warm water I have no idea how that works and Andrews too, I hope You feel some relief soon

Take care Debs

Oh my goodness Debs, I nearly came to doing the same, but my doctor warned me, you don’t know how far up it is and can cause perforation. I finally got it out with laxido, but as I’m ibs-d oh what a mess.and my hubby was brilliant too, followed me around with kitchen rolls and disinfect lol

I have found out today, my esomaprazole have been packaged in my normal brand box, but the context isn’t the brand I use, it’s full of sucrose sugars etc . Hence my bladder problem, I’m fuming. If it wasn’t for my doctor telling me to check the tablet, just incase, and yep grr. Hubby going to see the pharmacist tomorrow. Blinking things we go through.

Take care and thank you for your help.

Thank you, we have good ones.

Yes Elvis was on so many different pills, some to keep him awake, some to sleep, all sorts, and they constipated him badly, it was said it happened on the toilet, not sure if that is true??.
