hi all. my discomfort has been fine over a couple of days. took no pain killers. yesterday I went for a walk and I obviously walked too far as I hurt all over. still not in any meds yet. no letter has come through and this has now been over a month since I last saw rheumatologist. I don't understand how you can feel ok for a couple of days then go for a walk and back to square 1 with pain and discomfort. I always wake up as though I have a cold and the aches are like when you have the flu. so frustrated and low again now. anyone else been like this.

Hi there yes I've been like that Mandy, I've had my 1st swim today nothing major but tomorrow I will feel like I've flu and. ache all over this will normally will carry on for 2/3,days after which is why I have such a long break in between. Really miss swimming as went twice a week. Could you give the rheumatologist receptionist number a ring and ask will you be hearing soon ??? as you feel low and need to move forward sometimes alittle nudge in the right direction can give them a reminder , they should be able to give some sort of information so good luck with that. Mandy just a reminder if you lock your posts you might find members will respond more to your posts if locked and not open to just anyone on the internet. Hope you hear soon and let us know how you are doing. I'm off for an Epsom salts bath have you tried this I do find it helps the aches xxxx
how do you lock your posts? x
Hi. It's frustrating isn't it - how the FM comes in waves? I can feel almost like a 'normal' person sometimes, and at other times (like today) the best I can do is to crawl into bad with painkillers. It makes planning things difficult. I often get flu-like aches, as well as burning pains down my arms and legs, and I hate the way it makes me feel so weak and heavy. I've just been in bed for 2 weeks with the actual flu, and then 1 day of feeling relatively well, then another FM flare up straight away putting me back in bed!! Oh well, I've learned you've just got to be so patient and kind to yourself!! Take care x
I wished they would hurry up and get some meds sorted out for you. Yes fibro is swings and roundabouts. We tend to try and do too much if we are feeling a bit better and then our body starts laughing at us for being so presumptuous. Hope you feel better soon.x
