Watch out with fog if......

I write with a sad annoying tale.

I went on holiday great what spoilt it?

I lost my mobile on a plane.

I was wheel-chaired to Assisted passenger area reported the loss immediately I realised less than 1 hr after disembarking.

The people manning the desk rang wherever and got no success . They actually followed up 3 times. Then they gave me email to contact when we got home.

Yep I did that a few times.

No answers of any use. Last one said you can complain via this link. Done that and since nothing.

I have tried ringing my insurance company but they want a PIR form. Can I get on out of the airline , to date no!!!!!

Rang insurance company today explained the situation. Nice lady suggested I get CEO? Vice President's name and use that for ammo.

Well another stab and I got a supervisor who said use this link.

That did not work either.

Supervisor is meant to be calling me back Friday pm.

So lesson to be leant as far as I am concerned just have deep pockets in your travel clothing for anything you wish to retain as since Fibro fog descends often when stressed/tired.

Oh no what a palaver, I left my handbag on a plane at Gatwick but was lucky to get it back, minus my cash & a lottery ticket! Good luck with your phone claim.

i did that in a taxi ok ive done it a few times but the worst or best one is that i rang it and the taxi driver found it but then charged me 25 quid to get it back from him oh the joys of fibro fog

at least you got it back. It's not so much the phone, but the data on it. Stored passwords, contacts. I'd certainly report it as lost and bite the bullet and re set a new one. Some unscrupulous person could well harvest it for anything useful

Ah poor you, it really is not good enough, someone must have found it, put it on local news, I bet it's found then. Good luck love Pammie xxx🐞🐞🐞

dare I suggest this? It may not be advertising as no cash will change hands.

I'm booked on this course. Its not just keeping your device locked away, but how you deal with whats on it and even how you use "free wifi". Did you know retail outlets track your in store movements and see where you pause - with the idea of sending you appropriate adverts? no such thing as a free lunch.

I attended an open day recently and spoke to our local constabulary's cyber security branch. I was pleased to note I was doing better than I thought, but there was still much I learned.

With social media, even this one, don't post a lot about your holidays - especially during them. You're advertising your house is empty. But please don't get paranoid about it.

how you respond to potentially damaging emails is another subject entirely
