I feel cold, low, have memory loss, tired but wired, gaining weight, periods draining the life out of me. Backs of legs constantly aching. I suspect its thyroid because I take 25mcg levothyroxine but I also think I have some fibro fog? Advice welcome thank you

25mic is a starter dose usually do you have your blood levels for thyroid? Maybe as a first thing that would be the obvious thing to check on rather than a fibro issue?

TSH 8.2 (0.2 - 4.2)

FT4 14.8 (12 - 22)

FT3 3.3 (3.1 - 6.8)

Lavara, you need a higher dose of the levothyroxine. Your TSH of 8.2 indicates you have hypothyroidism. This would effect your cognitive fog, fatigue, weight gain and other symptoms. Have you seen an endocrinologist? If not I recommend you see on and if so and they are leaving your TSH at 8.2 then I recommend you find a good one. I hope you get the care you need to feel better. Hugs 🤗

Hi

I would say request full Thyroid panel blood test and ask for print out of results don't be fobbed off with them just testing THS .

Also vitamin B as that can cause tiredness and muscle pain

All of your symptoms could be thyroid as you say

Agree with soppysokes I think you should be asking GP for increase in Levothyroxine

On paper those results are pretty poor an increase may well be just what is needed.if not already why not join HU thyroid site for good advice.

Ok thanks

Hun have a ,look on the leaflet in our pills to see if any cause this side effects..Fibro fog is common after numerous nights with no sleep or interupted sleep and also certain meds. Quite often my gp checks my thyroid functions and up to now all good..On our forum if you go to My Communites and clik on + browse you will find a sight dealing with thyroid issues, we can all help with fibro on here but I know BU**** all about thyroid..
