I had the classic appointment with a hospital doctor yesterday that left me wanting to spit tacks . Before she even looked at my surgical sites ( I have had two operations in the last 8 weeks ) she said as I had a "Fibromyalgia background" she wasn't expecting me to be "pleased with the outcome" , because people with it "rarely are" . I hasten to add she was a registrar , not a consultant and not the usual medical team I have been seeing . She wrote me up for a 3 month follow up with my usual team and that was it . A total waste of time and not to mention stressful . I felt like a fraud for even being there ... *end of rant*

Thats happened numerous times, I recently went for a shoulder "scraped" I had calcium crystal deposits growing causing poor movement, I saw Consultant first then went to Day theatre for treatment, the doctor there ( who have worked with) said if I had the procedure my fibro would suffer as he would need to poke at the muscles as well,.as the joint-he offered me an alternative and it has had good results
