Hi just wondering if anyone suffers from finger tip pain? Typing is extremely sore it's like a burny sensitive feeling & the pain goes right to my nail when pressed.
I'm seeing my gp soon but wanted to see if there was anyone else suffering.
Anyone any advice in the meantime?
Thank you x

Yes l have this too. It's really painful even using the touch screen on my tablet or phone. No idea what it is as l haven't mentioned it to the doctors, I've just put it down to fibro. I have had carpal tunnel for years but this is only the past year or so. I have to change fingers all the time to use the touch screens, ouch. xx
My hands are my worst part. I suffer so much with them. Whether this be complete numbness and loss of feeling down to pins and needles, tremours etc. My hands are often cold and don't feel heat and hardly grip so I have to be careful lifting even a glass to drink. I don't have any answers for you I'm afraid as waiting for my test results. Ask to see a rheumatologist....
I’ve noticed it VERY MUCH too! They all are sensitive due to fibro- but Just the finger touching The screen can be intense uncomfortable .. can’t describe it.. not burning , or pressure.. just irritated to the point of very Very noticeable discomfort , regardless of how much pressure or amount of use.. For the past 1-2 yrs , I’ve assumed it’s part of the electrical signals transferrred between the screen and fingertip causing flares to that particular finger..
Capacitive Touch Screens Commonly found in smart phones and tablets, capacitive touch screens only use a single layer with an electrical charge. When you touch the screen with your finger, your body temporarily absorbs some of the electricity, similar to how your body transfers electricity when touching a metal surface.
My wife and I are both sensitive to the charge coming off of capacitive touch screens. anti-Electrostatic gloves help, mesh tipped stylis' work - but most are metal so the charge still somewhat reaches my finger and still starts to hurt. Plastic stylis' w/mesh tip work but it takes like two presses for everything so that is kinda useless. We naturally have electricity running through us and all these electronics (I own an electronics company) are not being designed in a way that takes this into consideration, this is being ignored, ridiculed (easiest way to obscure truth) and unfortunately if the manufactures know about these things they are not fessing up. Thank for your question.
