Mandatory pip

Just received a letter today and wasn't successful again no points awarded really don't know what else I can say they have the cheek to say that I know when to respond to my name getting called and that my antidepressants are controlling my depression even although I have a stoma as a result of bowel cancer I can manage perfectly even although I've told them that I get help to prepare the changing of this I don't need to prepare a hot meal as they say I can prepare a simple cold meal I've got a sore hand today after burning it on the oven last night even although they admit I have health issues because I can't say that it is a constant every day as you know symptoms vary from day to day I have been refused I can now take it to a tribunal I feel that this is going to be a waste of time unless I can say I have specifi symptoms every day of the week

Thanks Amy 65 have already put in letters from gp and hospital but what they seem to go on about is the fact that although they agree that I do have health conditions I can't say that it is the same every day as you know I've got good and bad days after you get medication off the doctor you can't keep going back as it's basically only pain control that doctors can give even as I've told the doctor it only takes the edge off the pain at moment I'm on 5 different tablets a day in total about 20 tablets a day they seem to think medication is a cure all but it only helps

Thanks ajay 575 it's just so upsetting I used to be the one that done everything for my family now I'm relying on them for getting things done it's just like all what I was slipping away bit by bit

Aw that's sad'you feel like the old you is slipping away'we all feel like that, its like a grieving process, iv had fibro for 10 years an still struggle too Come too terms with being so limited in what I can do,it would be easier too say what I can't do😐it is hard, but we have too make the most of what we have.it helps too come on here people really understand how you feel, youv been thru a lot ! But with your pip claim I would fight it,an get as much advice as you can for the appeal, cab an disability rights, are really helpful, don't let them beat you, keep your chin up hon, theres always people on here too chat too who understand, good luck an take care x

Thanks lors xxxx going to cab for advice but still at the moment don't feel there's much point what is life to you and coping with ups and downs as you know can be extremely difficult they seem to think 1form fits all the most upsetting thing is most days I struggle to get through the day trying to keep what's left of my old life as much as possible and I must say my family are very supportive yet I know people that have not a lot wrong but boast how they've managed to get pip

I know its a totally unfair system an it makes me So angry😠,iv put in for the higher rate of pip.and I may even loose money,I need more money too hopefully get a.mobility scooter.my mobility has gotten So much worse. But they could take it all away, its like the game of risk!!but you should fight for what's you need an desearve.you need too tell them you struggle Every day.c.a.b. will help you.I think you have too asses your life, and how it is now, maybe not try an be how you were before you got I'll,you can't fight this rotten illness, you have too try an accept it for what it is, and have a different way of looking at things an how you do things, and tell your family just how bad you feel and how your struggling x

Hi lors hope you get ur mobility scooter it makes a big difference even if it's only to go out for a little time on your own I bought a second hand mobility scooter and it's great only use it on bad days or if I want to be on my own as I've had quite a few falls so my family don't like me going anywhere on my own I've also trained my wee dog to go along side me and if he gets fed up he jumps up to get a rest just be careful if you want to buy out of a mobility shop coz they charge a fortune I couldn't afford one from them

in reply to Sharon-68

Thinks IF I do get an increase,i will be renting one it costs more, but I have no one too fix it if it goes wrong if I rent one they do any repairs an service it an have a break Down service x

Have you managed to get a copy of the Benefits and Work guides? They have guides to help you put together MRs and appeals. There are legal definitions for things in the criteria like preparing a meal & what that meal consists of and I'm pretty sure it's a hot meal from scratch. I seem to remember that Admin here had access to these guides for members. Best thing to do is get proper advice from local CAB or benefits rights group.

You have to have a social worker to be able to have support from Welfare rights...and so e councils dont have them...also be wary of Cab...my CAB have just screwed my forms he said ooo these are easy and 15 minutes hed ""done them""plus they say they dont have to sign to say they filled them in and they dont have advocates to go with you anymore ...well around here they dont west midlands...check it all out first

Hi hurty not looking too good already had letters off doctor but cab said I need full medical history receptionist says that whoever wants this information needs to ask the doctors themselves I have had 2 operations for bowel cancer, I've had blood clots in leg then later in lungs which has damaged my heart I've got something wrong with my throat and stomach very painful when eating or drinking siting to see consultant said on letter suspected cancer but at least that has been ruled out also have fibromyalgia which as you know varies from day to day been to physio which didn't help not sleeping at night even tho totally shattered sake for something to help sleep but he says already taking quite a few tablets doesn't think sleeping tablets will be any good had quite a few falls and burnt my hand on oven but because it was nothing too serious I never went to doctors about them this doesn't help my case pain killers have had them changed twice already and again sometimes they help and sometimes they don't I'm frightened to ask doctors to change them again and to be honest don't like to bother the doctor so looks like I won't manage to get pip
