Can fibro affect your hormones?

Just wondering my periods seem to be not painful really but the weeks leading up to it I get all sorts of horrible pms. I just seem to be hot all the time too. Ovulation time is the worst.

I have not heard before that fibro is affected by hormones, but it could be possible. It will be interesting to see what replies you will get. I have next to fibro Ehlers Danlos syndrome and that is definitely affected by hormones and suffer more at different times true the month.

Have you talked about it with your gp? If yes what did he say?

I've just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Before I had awful pains & awful periods pmsl etc was put on prostap injections which helped but now dr thinks may not be helping my bones. But now dr think my periods pains etc all related to fibro

I believe that yes ... a change in your hormones can affect your fibro symptoms. I'm perimenopause so hormones are starting to go haywire ...and my fibro symptoms are all over the place. Xxx
