Hi fribro
It could be that the therapist who did your massage caught a nerve or massaged a certain part of your back too hard.
Try and rest up this evening and see how you feel in the morning.
Take care of yourself

Hi
This is very common after any holistic treatment
Did the therapist give you any after care advise normally no heavy meals and drink plenty of water to cleanse your system .
And to take it easy so rest up tonight

Hi fribro My daughter is a massage therapist, so I'm quite clued up about it because I have had the same thing happen, I had it really bad when I had reflexology and believe it or not, it's down to water, you have to drink water afterwards and sit for a while just sipping it. I have copied this info from a guy that blogs about water, it's very good & explains in more detail.
Surrounding every cell in our body is a liquid called interstitial fluid, and you guessed it, made up of mostly water. Within that interstitial fluid is metabolic waste that needs to be transported back to the blood stream in order to be filtered through the kidneys. Massage is pushing, and moving this fluid around, and causing everything to happen at a faster rate. An increased amount of metabolic waste is being processed and filtered through the kidneys, which makes them have to work harder and is also using more water. If you have ever experienced a feeling of nausea, headache, or flu-ish like symptoms after a massage, this is due to the increased amount of metabolic waste being transported out. Drinking more water after your massage can help reduce those symptoms, or even stop it from happening.

Hi fribro
I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and the *greatist.com website says:
*Why do I feel sick after massage?
Massage doesn't make you ill—but you may feel like it. Because massage releases free radicals that have built up inside muscular knots, some people may feel a bit sick a day or so after a session. “We relieve the tension and release the toxins, and now the immune system has to deal with it,” Lewis explains.16 Dec 2014
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
