First, thank you all for the many lovely birthday wishes and blessings. We had a lovely day and finished it off with the most delicious triple chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream.
I did some blood work yesterday afternoon, more this morning, then report to radiology dept. at hospital at 12:30 for yet another paracentesis [draining of gut fluid]
{Paracentesis is a procedure to take out fluid that has collected in the belly (peritoneal fluid). This fluid buildup is called ascites.}
Todays tests are used for comparison of blood work #'s and some part of the fluid from my gut {I don't remember what the Dr. called it, I think the acronym was SAG} It helps to determine the amount of scarring {cirrhosis} on the liver without having to do a liver biopsy.
Still waiting for the GYN office to call with an appointment.
Wish me luck. I'll check in later today.
Love,
Sha

Wishing you the very best of luck my lovie. It really sounds that you're going through a truly awful time. All my hopes and love are with you. Lots of hugs to you xxx
So I reported to the radiology dept for my paracentesis and after preparing for the test the technician [Jen] could not find even a tiny amount of fluid. So, no test was done. I went home and called my doctor and let him know they found no fluid. He sent over an order for a fibroscan test which is non-invasive. I am scheduled for this test on July 7th.
