I went to see my spine specialist on Tuesday and he has offered to do steroid injections in my spine. This will be the 4th procedure on my spine. I have had vertbroplasty, lazor to my nerves and steroids injections to the bottom of my spine. I would prefer this to the lazor of the nerves as I will only be in bad pain for around 12 days with the lazor I was in really bad pain for around 6 weeks. I had the lazor done on the NHS but this time for the steroid injections I have gone privately because when I go to the pain clinic and they might suggest the lazor or the injections but I would have to wait much longer and I am at the point that if they can I want the pain gone or reduced to where it is bearable the sooner the better. I want some sort of normality back in my life. I spend 80% of my day sitting up in my bed and that is no life for me anyway. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that this procedure will work as well for me as the other injections did. The steroid injections seem to work very well for me more than the lazor. I hope that you are all feeling as well as you can be. Lots of love and hugs to you all. Jan101 xxxxx

I hope you get the steroid injections in your spine and they work right away! They worked for me but not always right away and sometimes the pain would move to another location, strange as that seems. So if it doesn't work by day 3, it still may work the next day or the next few days, don't give up hope, okay? When I got an injection on my right side of my spine, the pain moved to my left side. Yes, it sounds crazy, but it did. The right side would improve but the left did get worse in the next few weeks. This only happened one time but one time too many for me. I wish you great success with these injections.
Hi BonnieSue
Yes that is a bit strange but it could of been referred pain. Thank you for your good wishes. Just had phone call from specialists secretary they are fitting me in on Monday the 20th so this coming Monday I will have my procedure. Just really keeping my fingers crossed that it works the same as the other injections did for me. I hope all is well with you and take good care. Jan 101 xxx
I hope you have the procedure you prefer. Laser treatment sounds very painful and I can understand your wanting the injections.
Hope it all goes well.

Hi Madmeg11
Thank you for your message. I have just had a phone call from my specialist secretary and they are fitting me in this coming Monday for the injections so I am hoping that they are successful as the ones I had before in my very lower spine. Take good care and look after yourself. Jan 101 xxx
I agree Jan steroid injections are the best for me too but since I,ve had so many I,m now osteopaenic and the hospital are reluctant to offer any more, I am seeking acupuncture as I have had that before with good results, about sitting in bed hun!- maybe try sitting out in a high back well supporting chair, beds can cause more pain than they ease, they are after all only meant for sleeping in!
Hi Jan101
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your procedure my friend, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
