Can't remember who posted on here about Sandsend earlier this year? But anyway me and OH where there last week and we absolutely loved it. We went in the cafe and had a lovely hot chocolate and a die for cake!! (I am now on a very strict diet!) just sat on a bench and enjoyed the sea view. It's set me up for a bit anyway and recharged the batteries! We stayed in Hawsker Whitby in a converted barn and it was so lovely and peaceful much reccomended. I know this is totally off topic but had to share. It's given us a much needed boost.
Hope everyone is coping ok on this lovely caring site I'm not a fibro sufferer but always enjoy reading the posts on here and following everyone's ups and downs.
Hope today has been a good one today even better πππ xxx

Sandsend is a lovely place discovered it years ago when we went to Whitby when kids were little. We now enjoy it taking our dog on the beach and scone and tea sat outside the cafe. We stayed at Staithes' last year in September in a cottage on the harbour near the lifeboat station. Same time as the artist weekend..cottages open with lots of different artists...glass, sculpture, paint, wood, metal. Fascinating..very steep hill down to harbour....we were lucky had parking..even if the seagulls did use us as target practise. Sea air and pub food definitely made you feel better. Hope we get some sunshine today...makes you feel a bit better.
