It's just great when you think this condition can do no more harm, I see the optician today to be told I need reading glasses alongside my distance ones as my fibro has effected my eyesight due to the fatigue. Just great isn't it.

:D lol. No just pointing out glasses, dont change who you are or what you look like, people see the person beyond the glasses, not the glasses.

You are right. I'm lucky my fiancé is amazing. Xx

:) Any one worth being with, will accept you with glasses, health problems and everything else. If he was shallow he'd be off, but if he wants to marry you he sees beyond the health problems, glasses and is a good man. You two are very lucky.

Know that feeling you have my sympathy. Never needed anything but weak reading glasses even though my job meant I was reading reams all the time. Fibro struck and then strength went up and needed distance as well. My eyesight can change from day to day, hour to hour. Wish the glasses could adjust as well.😎🔭x

It's so heart breaking. Fibro really does effect every little part of the body. He offered me varifocals but agreed with me when I said my balance is pretty bad already with varifocals I would probably spend all my time on the floor lol x.

Yes oh and my friend keep stumbling and I put it down to their glasses it is especially dangerous where any steps are involved.x

My concerns exactly even though with two pairs I will probably forget where I put them lol. Xx

I notice that my eye sight is much worse on bad fibro days - that's when i need my glasses for basic things like tv and driving. what a pain it is!

Yes I hear ya, this with eyesight problems is driving me mad, one minute can see very clear next blurred or double vision, think it would change daily that's why I won't get mine tested xx

Strangely my long distance sight has improved so no longer need distance glasses but for reading I still need or I would have to learn Braille!!! x

Isn't it a pain? I think I will need bifoculs soon as if I am using the computer while the telly is on I keep having to push my glasses to the top of my head to watch!

I have noticed on bad fibro days I get double vision and then everything goes blurry, even with glasses!

My vision has got worse.

In the mornings I can hardly see, until the brain wakes up.

mine are worst in the morning and late at night. Yeah seems to be tiredness makes them worse. I find it harder to read the tv menu on the screen later in the day/night

Same, and they said the fibro has made my eyes too dry to wear contact lenses, and i am supposed to put drops in my eyes to moisturise them, but i never bother :/

Didn't know fibro made your eye sight worse,I wondered why my eyes were going blurry at least i know now ,i wear varifocals i couldn't have 2pair of glasses as i never know we're one pair are (usually on the top of my head) though it's the last place I try😎 ,i use codliver oil and eye drops to keep my eyes moist, Looks like another trip to spec savers and more money to pull out of my ssp yuk

Hi my friend

I really am so genuinely sorry to read this and a few years ago my optician told me that my eye muscles had weakened due to Fibro. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck my friend, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Got my eyes tested yesterday and need glasses for distance, never have before. Issues with double vision and ocular migraines and now a new issue with the muscles. My optician hopes the new glasses will help. Had to pay an additional £30 for anti glare but he thinks it's important so I paid for that too.

Got the 2 pairs for one price deal and plumped for a second pair as prescription sunglasses. I wear sunnies a lot even in winter on bright days or when it's windy, to protect my eyes.

One thing that I wanted to pass on, that really surprised me was that sometimes the issues with eyes are connected to cardio-vascular problems, obviously this is only in a very small percentage of occurrences. (I didn't put this down to scare people, but it's important to realise the necessity of keeping up with eye exams routinely). I've got to keep an eye (sorry no pun intended!) on my symptoms and see if the glasses help, if not he wants me to go for a full blood work up at my GP.

Well here's hoping my snazzy new glasses help.

Gentle hugs folks x 🌸🌺
