My jaw hurts
Hello and welcome to the group. It could be some kind of neuralgia. Maybe your doctor could give you something for the pain. I would suggest you talk with your GP. I hope you find some relief soon. I get that kind of pain some times and its awful.

Hello smk21 and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get advice, support, help and understanding, along with a chuckle or two to lighten the day.
Have you seen our mother site fmauk.org ? Here you will find a wealth of information including guides and links.
What you are describing sounds very much like TMJD, (Temporomandibular Jaw Disease) It often accompanies fibro, sadly, and there is not much you can do until it passes. Holding a warm hot water bottle helps, as does eating soft food, taking painkillers and not yawning widely.
Sometimes the pain can travel along the nerve up the side of your head and into your neck.
If it is really painful and troubling it can be relieved by botox injections.
I suggest you type TMJ or TMJD in the search box above to read of other members experiences of this.
Fingers crossed the symptoms subside very soon.
I do hope we will see you joining in around the forum.

I'm suffering at the moment 😔 with the TMJD and going to the dentist is a bit awkward as opening the mouth wide enough is difficult. I also think that with the pain we endure we can tend to clench our jaw and also grind our teeth which adds to the discomfort. This of course can mean all the muscles in our neck are tense which can lead to the headaches. You have my sympathy.x
Hi smk21 welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.
I see our lovely bluebell99 has answered you, so just wanted to say Hi & look forward to chatting with you on the forum.
Peace, luv n light

Hi smk21
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way, and I sincerely hope that your pain eases soon for you.
I think that both Dizzytwo and bluebell99 have come up with the two most likely causes of this. It may help to talk to your doctor as there are medications if they feel that they are suitable for you?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi there, I have been suffering with this lately and yesterday was diagnosed with TMJD. You have my sympathy as the pain is horrid. I've found keeping my jaw as still as possible (without clenching) for a while eases the pain. Wishing you the best of luck with it X
Thank you every one for ur help and support.
