well i go for a pree opp on my knee tomorrow ive been using this knee now since 13 months after hernia opperation and it still feels like one leg is shorter than the other
What i cant understand is the ankle is more painfull than the knee and if thery go in the knee for a look im going to have to pull this back all over again to somthing reasonable to walk on.
i still got me big toe hurting and ankle tingling and im in a bit of a quandry am i doing the right thing or should i say with what i got
Beacause last time six years ago i had to pullit back again toes whent blue etc and i dont want this back again the cold foot syndrom.
so far teeth still sore hands still have them little lumps on the joints which dont bother me much foot hurts and back aches a little bit.
AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING I WONDER JUST TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING WRONG WHEN ME ANKLE HURTS THE MOST OR IS IT THAT THE NOT WALKING CORRECT ON THE KNEE IS DOING THE ANKLE IN.

Hi minka you sound extremely worried and I would share your concerns tomorrow at the pre op so your surgeon is aware.
There is something called referred pain where you feel the pain in one place but it originates from further up. This could be what is happening with your ankle.
Have you had your ankle xrayed to eliminate any problems?
If you feel that you need further investigations before you have your op then this will certainly be the time to speak up.
yep i paid for mri everything ok i have had two ultrasounds nothing showing even
he even told me no atheritus showing which i cant beleve realy with the dry bones syndrom feeling MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY
Hi Minka, this is called referred pain, when we walk differently but are not aware, we get this pain,we block and kill small veins that supply blood to our limbs hence the "cold" issue you describe. Talk about this in depth at your pre-op and if you have any doubts then ask to see the consultant again BEFORE you go under the knife, don't regret it later.. I have known people in my nursing career say that where they have had surgery and sutures the skin is pulled tight thus making walking or raising an arm after breast surgery very different than before! Good luck our friend- prevention always better than cure!
hi caz i will tell them regards the cold tingly foot even though it feels better The consultant last time i saw him said pain goes down not up. but when your ankle aches at front when walking it make you wonder whats going on and your foot feels dried up. i was also told when i said i feel one leg is longer than otther this is due to compensating for the pain in the other foot but it is funny that knee feels better although my mate said you knee shouldnt twist like that i cant do it with mine.
And the other thing that is funny is my cousin who had a hurnia opperation after me got a swolen ankle but cleared it many many thanks for the reply caz
I am so genuinely sorry to read of your concern. I would take a list of questions for them that you want to ask? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
