Hello twistedstar and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find advice, support, help and understanding.

Have you seen our Mother Site fmauk.org ?

Here you will find a wealth of information about fibro including guides and links.

I think you will find many who suffer with their lower limbs and bottom and it does seem to be a fibro symptom. A lot of fibromites also have mobility problems, some severe enough to need a wheelchair.

Have you been investigated for this problem? It may not be fibro as it does sound a little like sciatica.

Have you tried a hot water bottle or heat pad on it and does it make it better? Strangely enough some find using ice packs more effective.

We are a pretty diverse lot with various symptoms and medications, it seems no two of us are the same!

Hope to see you joining in around the forum.

Kay

Hi twistedstar :)

I have pain, stinging and burning in top of bum, hips, thighs and many other areas, not sciatica for me as I had sciatica many years ago and this is different pain to that. The backs of my legs also hurt sting and burn if I sit too long, even though I have padded chair in work and at home. I feel I should be wearing a padded suit !

I hope your symptoms ease for you soon. Best wishes x

Hi, I've also been suffering really badly with hip and leg pains over recent weeks. Wasn't sure if it was old age or Fibro.? Had it in both arms too the other night, like a severe toothache, shooting pains down both arms, sore elbows and pins and needles in my hands. No medication I've taken has helped.....I've really had enough of this Fibro and the pain it inflicts on us. Just want a normal, pain free life.....is that to much to ask?

Me too, exactly the same. I'd love my old life back to 30 years ago.

The past 5 yrs I have had hip pain soo bad, that I can't walk the next day and any movement is excruciating pain. I have had to try to use a crutch but does not help ANY movement is painful associated with the hip. Usually happens after a night of sleep . Sometimes I can feel the pain mildly start during the day, which now, ususally means I am getting close to a huge flare up in the hip or hips.... I also have osteo arthritis in hips , knees, and back.... which started when I was in my early 30's they suspect.

Hi twistedstar welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are. In all the years I have suffered with my lower back, hips, legs and feet, i get such severe pains in my hips I can't walk but I do also suffer with Polymyagia. As bluebell99 says, it is a symptom that is common among Fibro sufferers I'm afraid.

Peace, luv n light

Jan ☺
