Daith Piercing

Hi all,

You may recall I wrote a post about my dreadful headaches and that I was going to try the Daith piercing which my friend had already had. Well, I had it done in November and I can report that although the headaches have not completely gone they have reduced substantially and in number and severity so I am really pleased.

My doctor said they don't work for everyone but I am keeping it in in the hope that it will improve further.

I will of course let you know how i get on.

Anything is worth a try methinks and the worse that could happen was I lost out by £35 the cost of having it done.

All the best

Lizzie

A piercing inside your ear, Gladys. My husband and youngest son had it done but unfortunately for them it didn't work.

Hi Lizzie

I have heard about these piercings before. They have to be in a certain place don't they?

Isn't it at the small inner part of your ear that is nearest your face?

It is great to hear that it appears to be working for you.

As you say, what do you have to lose.

Hi all, this is my first post to the forum. I joined a few months ago as I am undergoing investigation for fibro. I had the daith piercing a year ago as I was having 3 day migraines every 2 to 3 weeks. I have since then had only 3 migraines and general headaches have also reduced. I am glad I gave it a try. Hope this helps. X

That is really good that it's worked for you vickimary , my two said it was worth a try nothing ventured nothing gained, but unfortunately it didn't help them. At least they tried it as like them you would try anything to be pain free. x

Hi all

Thank you for your replies, the piercing is inside the ear, if you look it up on the internet as image of daith piercing it will show you. I have been trying work out how post a picture of mine but not sure how . I am glad I have had it done now and it is covered up by my hair so no one can see it anyway so I don't attract any funny looks being an oldie lol. It was well worth the £35 . Xx

Again I am behind everyone you don't need to answer me now as I've seen your replies to others asking what it is. Glad it's worked for you. 😁

What's daith piercing may I ask? 😁

I don't know whether you've had a daith yet but the latest evidence is that it works very well. Well worth doing a search for fibromyalgia + daith on google

I had the daith piercing in October 2016 and I have to say that it does help. My headaches have not gone completely but have lessened in severity making it a bit easier to cope.
