Pip after diagnosis

I am wondering if any of you took out Pip policies after your diagnosis and if they pay out handy enough? I feel stretched to try manage an extra policy right now but it's also becoming clear that fibro isn't going anywhere and I have been thinking how long I can manage this work/sleep combo. Just looking for advice trying to go forward with any foresight if possible:)

I'm not quite sure of what advice you are asking.

If you are considering taking an extra policy out just to cover your bills when you leave work, I think they will not pay out as you already have an existing condition. In this case I would save as much money as possible to see you through until you can manage to go back to work or until your benefits start.

I apologise if I have misunderstood your question.

Hi Kay that answered it exactly I worded it very badly. I did want to know what policies are available after a diagnosis but I had a feeling I was better off saving from now what I can. Thanks a mil hope you're having a good day xoxo

Hi Chiqihoopini

I can see that our Kay bluebell99 has answered your question.

Where any type of health insurance policy is concerned, if you do not declare an existing condition, then if you ever had to claim on the Policy your diagnosis would show on your GP notes.

Your best bet is to set up a direct debit into say a building society account so that you don't miss the money each month as it just becomes part of your bills if that makes any sense at all?!

You're right Lu thanks I need to get more organised while I have a part time wage coming in because I'll definitely miss it when it's not there :)
