Cathy1110 fibo confused
It could have been down to the technique of the person carrying out the procedure. I've found that some of the nurses at the practice are much better than others.
Hi Cathy. I completely understand. I had to be seen by gynae consultant as I had some post menopausal bleeding and I screamed the place down. I also have gone through childbirth twice and felt that this was much worse. I'm sorry you had such pain but it helps to know it's not just me! Take care, Carol.
Hi, unfortunately we fibronites are very sensitive to pain and even a little pinch or pressure can send pain levels rocketing.
If you are going to have something like that again, (!) or a visit to the dentist for example, make sure you take painkillers an hour beforehand. It is much better to avoid the pain before it starts than to try to quell the pain once it is there.
Hope your levels have reduced now.

Hi cathy1110
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I have pasted you a link to the NHS Choices cache on this issue as it has a write up on finding the tests painful and the causes of this.
