Hi I have chronic kidney disease and have just recently learnt that it has got worse at that it is now at stage 5 with only 8% working and I'm at the stage of needing dialysis. I am 42 and I am just wondering what the average person my age and kidneys roughly the same as mine and how long can i live on dialysis without a transplant and if I have a transplant how long could I live afterwards Thanks.

Hello Betty29 and welcome to our friendly fibro forum.
I am not sure how I can answer your query as this is a Fibromyalgia forum, unless of course you have fibro as well as your chronic kidney disease.
If you go to the top of the page, you will see "My Communities" Click on that and it will say Browse Communities. Type in "dialysis" or "kidney transplant" in the HU search box and there will be several sites that you can go to for further information.
I wish you well, and of course please do come back if you need more help.
Kay
