I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
Thank you so much it's good to know there are friends out there in middle of the night.I do try but after the years I have lost, feeling so alone, etc, etc!!Its hard but try to remain positive.
Thank you so much that is such a wonderful thing to say. I had a lovely Christmas thanks. I think I ate far too much (especially turkey) as I love it. I even managed a good sleep for a change.
I genuinely hope that you had a wonderful Christmas my friend?
Hi Gigi welcome to forum where there will be loads of peeps to help you along the way the support you will experience is like nothing on earth.
Not as many on forum at the moment given it's that time of year but be patient the welcomes will come in thick and fast - note you've already met Ken one of our admins who has a wealth of knowledge along with other admin peeps who are all sufferers of pain as are all peeps on friendly forum and you will find all are at different stages of Fibro plus other conditions.
Questions you may have ask away and everyone will try to answer you - you will
Cry - at some of the stories you encounter and come to realise (as I did) that your pain may be bad but not as bad as others.
Laugh - again at some stories that are told even when that person is in pain
Giggle - at the funnies people post - their sense of humour is brill again even though in pain they will lift your spirits if you are feeling down
Yes you've joined a friendly welcoming forum may you enjoy the warmth it gives in one way and another.

Hi Gigi09, like all of fibro sufferers we try to hide the constant pain behind a smile, but glad you found us we try to help others like ourselves even just being there for each other, gentle hugs to you and all sufferers xx
I know how you feel, I have had this for just over 16 years as well, it's very difficult to get the right meditation for you, it took me over 2 years of trial and error of medication and alternative therapies, I am really lucky to have a good gp who understands, I am on mega Meds , some people just don't understand , I have had people say that I will be addicted to the medication but I don't care about that as i dont intend on stopping the medication that works for me,
i don't know what you are on but if you are feeling like a zombie with some maybe you need to try something different,
I have a little boy so I know that we have to try and put on the magic face for them, I myself just found this site by mistake and it's the best mistake I have made fora long time.
I do hope that you can get something to help you that doesn't make you feel like a zombie.
I would just like to say a big welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find you get tons of help and support on here. Look forward to your future posts.x
Hi There and Welcome! I've not long joined our Fibro family either but everyone who has replied has been so welcoming and helpful with what I have been going through right now. It is such a painful horrible condition but it is great to share with people who understand. I lost my husband in April so it is hard but being among my family and grandchildren really helped as I didnt want to dampen their Christmas day, and to be honest think I had shed enough tears on my own on Christmas Eve. I feel somedays just showering and getting dressed is exhausting and painful and every day is hard being in pain as you said. I get very down at times too but then I have to give myself a shake and say that there are hundreds of people much much worse off. Im waiting on a physio and pain clinic appointment, my knees and back pain affect my walking at times. I haven't learned as yet to pace myself as overdo things on a good day and many of our fibro friends say it's about pacing yourself and I need to listen to their sound advice. I do hope you feel better soon. God Bless x
I understand you. It's terrible. People who don't have it don't understand. I hit my finger on moving stairs hand rail other day. I screamed. People must think I'm just weak. It was horrendous pain. Happy new uearx
