When I lay down it gets so extreme I'm strearing my legs , arms and basically my entire body so hard I'm rolling and jerking and tighting everything thing extremely hard I swear my muscles are going to rip. During the all this I lose my breath and when I release the tension of my muscles first thing I'm doing is taken Is trying to catch my breath .my muscle tension Earge has pulled off my bed. This will the third night , I haven't slept in two days I'm going to contact my doctor but I'll get no true answer. Thank you for your time :

Hi Leejns welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.
It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.
You dont say if you have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia ?
Obviously I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you have all the symptoms of restless leg syndrome [RLS). If you tell this to your doctor exactly how you have explained here and I'm sure they would give you something to help with the pain, muscle spasms & sleep. Amitriptyline is usually a drug prescribed for RLS & Fibro.
Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.
Peace, luv n light
Jan ☺

Thank you Jan, no I haven't been diagnosed with Fibro. I've complained to him for at least three years now. I told him my muscles spasm severally and have a strange sensations and forces me to squeeze and tighten till I have releif for a few minutes then I repeat . But the cause was said to be my work "I work to hard and much " and I guess that's possible. But I've been off a week now and I have never experienced it this strobe . My left calf has to be pulled or something. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow. Thanks so much for your advise .

Hi
I see Jan has given you some great advice.
I suggest you get an emergency GP appointment tomorrow and describe what is happening to you, as you have done here.
It sounds like you need a strong muscle relaxant and stronger pain killers, don't be fobbed off, you must have restful sleep.
I wish you a less painful night.
Kay
Hi i also suffered terrible irritable legs at night i got to the stage where i couldn't take it no more, ask your gp for pramipexole.. these tablets are the best thing since sliced bread lol haven't had restless legs since i started taking them, yes my legs ache but I'd rather that than go through that pain again!! I also feel your pain with the muscle spasms and trying to hold your breath only to release it to extreme pain... hope your doctor can help with these problems for you and quick!!
Hello lee I think you should contact your doctor, it might be your meds hope you get it sorted xxx
Hi lee this sound terrible for you to go through ! I wonder what medication you are on. Are you taking Duloxetine? I had to come off these because my jerks and tremors were so bad. Ok I still have the odd tremor and twitch but not anything as bad as when being on the med. Hope yoiu get some help from your GP. Xx
Bathing with Epsom salts very helpful for painful muscle cramps and spasms due to magneaium content magnesium spray also available in boots, I use at bedtime to help with restless legs and sleeping. All the best
Hi Leejns
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and as the others have said, it may help to make an emergency GP appointment to get them to have a look at this. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
