Thanks Dondons

I'm in Canada. Cold here too.lots of snow already..still awake can't sleep aweful these sensations...oh how I wish I could sleep.

It sure is scary...not a nice feeling...cold for me makes things worse..today I actually went out to shovel..no choice living alone has it's advantages/ disadvantages..it's just worrisome when you don't know. It relaxes and I don't feel so anxious if I know others had similar experiences..but not everyone's the same I know..so I can't stress out to much..Ill have to have it checked out in the morning.

Thank you sweet dreams .ps..thanks for listening to my rant.

Hi sweetdreams,

Sò sorry to hear that you are going through such a difficult time. I have had the symptoms you describe at various times. I now go for massages and to a chiropractor as well as taking medication. I was really struggling a few weeks ago and my friends urged me to be more forceful with my GP. Outcome was I had extremely low levels of vitamin D. I am now starting to feel better and hopefully I won't just assume everything is fibro in future.

I hope you feel better soon, big hugs.

Hypnotherapy is a very good treatment. It might be worth asking your dentist if they can recommend anyone. Failing that find a BSCH member near you.

Hi Sweetdreams

I had a bout of this for nearly 4 weeks recently. I mentioned it to the McTimoney chiropractor I was seeing (for other things) and he put it right immediately. I was so relieved! I don't know if this info will help :) I am very happy to be able to chew again instead of trying to suck my food .. yuck.

Hello sweetdreams, I wonder if you can get yourself (or ask a mate) to get you to a local swimming pool that has a Jacuzzi? Really good remedy for nasty muscle spasm and pain.

Ok so I debated whether I should say anything because I might sound crazy, but it does help me. Have you ever heard of Witch Hazel? It's sold in stores next to the rubbing alcohol. It's actually an astringent. I have discovered that if you splash it on tight or cramping muscles, it relaxes them. No kidding.

Hi Sarah

Your not crazy..I'm happy you gave me info...I've heard of witch's hazel and that's great info..head pressure is settled a little bit today but my muscles in the lower back / sciatica and upper ribcage area are still very wired and tender..just relaxing at home no work today..it's thanksgiving day in Canada.

Thanks Sarah for the tip..I'll give it a try and keep you posted .

Thanks again.a take care of you.

Hi I've had tmj from when I was in my 20s. I broke my first molar when I was pregnant with my first child. It only got worse over the years but my dentist had a custom bite guard made for me. This way you clench and grind on the guard as opposed to your teeth. I've been thru jaw lock and many abscesses over the years all due to the clenching and grinding. My tmj would be on fire.

Exercise is a good way to relieve stress which tends to come out in our sleep. I was told at the time 20 mins of exercise like walking before bed releases seratonin which will help you sleep less tensely. Hope this helps. Feel well. Judy

Really like the tip and info.yes I've had 4 root canals done about 6/7 years ago and not it was good at the time but now the cavities are breaking off had repaired and now the same I'm told they only last so long..yes it is brutal pain in the shoulders head jaw cheek ..pretty much all over and up and down the arm..it really drains you.

Physical exhaustion just trickles down from there today I'm still plopped..just really needing rest.

Thanks again.

Take care of you.

Hello Sweetdreams, this is one of my complaints. It is so hard to ignore, I find hot a very shower hitting neck & shoulder zone with a warm cloth held to jaw can give some relief. It is worth it for some muscle relaxation, ( even if 'the itch' sends me crazy afterwards!). I do hope you get some relief, thinking of you Pixiewixie

I'll give it a try..tummy acting up now..boy this is no fun..

Tension relieved a bit. But this tingling sensation all over is getting to be as bit much.

Oh well hopefully it decides to sleep soon..give me a break..God thing I have a sense of humor or I Is go crazy.

Take care of you.
