£10 from DWP
Yes they give you the extra £10 because of you being on a disability benefit and it normally comes separately. I had mine the other day it will go towards the cost of servicing my car, every little but helps. Don't spend it all at once, lol.😀
Yes Dydy-gabb I got an xmas pressy too Arn't we the lucky ones, what are you going to buy yourself with it lol x
luv Jan x
It's supposed to pay for the extra costs we have at Christmas
Hmmm I've got the urge to say Nuts hahaha I think that's about all it would buy 😉 x
When it was first introduce it would buy the cost of a Christmas dinner, nowadays it only covers the cost of Christmas cards and stamps!
Still, as my mother used to say "It is better than being poked in the eye with a sharp stick!"
(She was always saying odd things!)
Hahaha that made me chuckle bluebell99 my mum used to say, it's better than a kick up the backside lol xx
I was advuised with my last assessment to expect a christmad bonus of £10!! I said I would donate mine to FMA/UK and I will if it comes my way../
This is your Xmas bonus.
Sometimes it's paid along with your usual monthly sum ,or sometimes it's paid separately.
Don't spend it all at once-- ha ha.
Take care.

Hi my friend,
I have pasted some interesting information about the Christmas bonus below from yesterday's *Daily Telegraph:
*When it was launched by *** *****s Tory government in 1972, the bonus payment was worth £98 in today's money.
The £10 Christmas boost was then worth more than the £6.75 basic state pension. The basic pension is now £95.25 a week.
The bonus has declined in real terms ever since it was introduced, apart from two years in the mid-1970s when it was suspended altogether by Labour PM ******* ******.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
They've always given extra for certain benefits at xmas it's been £10 since 1960 so not worth what it was lol
I was short of toilet paper this morning so came in very handy !!!
Yes, I received my 'tenner' - spending it on good red wine (or rather cheap plonk) Dont care if its bad for me - how much worse can I get? - dont answer that!!!!!! Hope you are all having a great day. Helen X
