You will need to brace yourself and have a big pot of tea to keep you going....do get help from our Benefit Advisor or CAB though...Best of luck x

It would be useful to you if you could photocopy the pages most relevant to you and have a practice go with a pencil and rubber. So much is made of the right wording and how you explain your condition affects you.

Here is a suggestion "I have to have help with dressing as I can't do up buttons or zips because my hands hurt and my fingers are not nimble any more"

That may not be the same in your case but will give you some idea.

If you look at Related Posts in blue on the right you will find other member's experiences.

Also look to the Pinned Posts to find details about contacting our Benefits adviser Janet.

I wish you luck.

Make sure you photocopy EVERYTHING that you send, the DWP are terrible for losing things.

I'm in middle of doing mine . Using a copy to do a draft on definitely helps . You can contact FMA UK benefits advisor on 0300 999 0055 (Mon and Fri 10.00-12.00 ) or charity @ fmauk.org without the spaces .

Janet can send you a copy of the benefit & works guidelines on completing the forms .

Good luck xxx

Hi Shellieb68

As the others have said it may be useful to get some help filling in your forms? As Hazel_Angelstar says FMA UK have their own benefit adviser. I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your application. Fingers crossed for you my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you
