Hi I was on the Maximum Gabapentin but it didn't work after 12 months so my doc out me on Duloxetine, it really helps me. I too feel sick with Co Vodacom so I take tramadol. Hope you get sorted with your benefits x
Hi, I hope you get your meds sorted and get some relief soon. Good luck with speaking to the benefits team, but just to give you an idea, I was in a similar situation and got dismissed due to I’ll health in the end. I was able to claim contribution based employment and support allowance. ( not income based as my husband works and earns over the threshold) and I am also trying to get PIP, but am waiting on a mandatory reconsideration as I was 2 points off apparently. Of course everyone’s situation is different but just thought I’d give you some sort of idea. Good luck with it all.
Thanks for your message but what is contribution based employment and support allowance?
ESA is a benefit. It used to be means tested but now is based on NI contributions. If you have paid enough NI you get it on the standard rate about £74 per week. 0nce you are assessed you may go on the higher rate if you are classed as being unable to work. It usually starts once sickness benefit runs out.
Hi Minniebuttons
I have just been awarded standard rate PIP My partner has been my carer for two years because of the PIP award he has successfully claimed Carers allowance. The carer cannot earn more than£132 per week.If they do they may beable to claim Carers credit.
Forgot to say I am also claiming NI contributed ESA and have been placed in the support group.
