Hello Hidden

Welcome to our friendly site where you can find support, advice and help and have a giggle to lighten the day.

Have you visited our mother site fmauk.org ?

Here you will find a wealth of information.

I am sorry you are feeling so unwell but as you say it is early days with your medication.

Do go back to your doctor if your condition does not improve or you are experiencing bad side effects.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Kay

Hi Hidden and welcome to our wonderful forum ☺I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you & talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro & learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process & i wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs & I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

I'm sorry you are in pain, it is probably due to being stressed with breaking up with your husband, stress always make everything worse. You should try to pamper yourself in some way. Try some relaxation & gentle excersize and maybe you will feel better when your new medication starts working. I do hope you feel better soon.

Peace, luv n light

Jan ☺

Ps. I have locked your post for your safety, so it is not open to the internet. You will find easy instructions here for your future reference. ☺

Hiya welcome. So sorry your in pain I do hope your medication starts to help but the minority of us still need them tweaking at some stage.

It took me quite a while to accept fibro. I was becoming someone I didn't know. Also you loose control of every thing. However after also leaving my ex earlier this year I'm ok with who I am now and I'm happy. Don't hesitate to ask a question or have a rant darling. Take care x

Hi are you in U.K. Or USA , I call cymbalta / dulexatine , what dose are you on? The normal dose is 60 mg that helps with the muscles, it is not as good as amertriptaline for sleep but it does other thing like tighning muscles around bladder to stop accidents . Have they suggested vit D as that can help again with your mood , try Epsom salts bath with lavender in bath as well it will help with muscles and sleep , maybe a cd audio tape at night from local library, that also can help usually cd is about £2.00 for a month , you will probably find you'll listen to same tape over and over if your lucky as you will be asleep by end of it ! But keep a diary of how your nights are so you can refer back , the more info you have when you see the GP the more he can help you , and consultant ,

Sorry about your marriage it's hard at first but you will find your path to go forward ,I did !

Gentle hugs , be kind and gentle with yourself !

Hello Chris I am in the uk just started on 30 mg I can't sleep well at all now and I am grinding my teeth ...not great is it ? ....Dr has took me off amytriprolene as they contraindicate the duloxetine so yes I'll miss them I am a very stressed at the mo obviously with marraige ending and also debt problems no pip since June and still only on assessment esa 73 a week for me and my son! I am not really eating at all its a rough patch for sure in my life... I am normally very positive but this month I have crashed loosing bundles of hair and I have also had to put my car off the road as I cannot afford the insurance it's hit me hard as now I can't get out ..I listen to Sarah hall meditations on you tube just lI've her voice so much and I do all the bath stiff that you have advised ....looking forwatd to brighter days ahead this too shall pass thank you xxx

I have been there my friend with the marriage the difference being , I was not ill with all this fibromyalgia stuff,I wish I could be more informative but you have mentioned debt , if you contact CAB they can help with this , they can get repayments down to as little as £1 .00 a month it's amazing really , your vit D can help tremendously with hair loss I had nearly lost most of mine if you read my post earlier in the year I was asking advise on here about extension, and weaving and wigs ! But the difference is amazing , have you replied for pip , I was refused first time round got so angry reapplied the following Monday again read previous post , ended up going from 2 points to full pip on both for 5 years , I learned so much from first go ! And again I went to CAB i went and got myself an advocate I had a home assessment and when they say you can only have one person with you , to hell with that , my home my rule I had 3 !

Gentle hugs my new friend, it will get better you do have to gentle and quietly fight for it , as you say little steps !

Ps also try social services , age concern if and I am sure you are under 50 they will get you relative advisor , disability rights , mind would be another good one to ask for help there's loads of support out there and once one starts to fight for you it's amazing how many more come out of the wood work .
