Back pain😡: Does anybody suffer severe... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Back pain😡
Yes, I do get similar pains...but do see your GP to make sure there is nothing else it could be. Yes warmth does help...I use wheat bags as not happy with pouring hot water due to hands being bad...hope you get some relief soon.....
Thanks for replying I'm seeing my gp later today so I will mention it to him I do suffer with fibro osteoarthritis and siatica so I suppose I could take my pick what's the cause lol xx
Thanks I will do xx
Hi Shaza- when I.m like this I stand under my shower and gradually turn up the heat, I gently lean forward and backward holding on to grab rails, its amazing how heat and water help to relieve pain in your back wether its lower or rib areas for me.
Hi caz yes I lie in a roasting hot bath that helps me to thanks for replying xx
Hi Shazanabs
I am sorry you are suffering with this awful pain. Is this a new symptom?
Have you done something that has aggravated your back recently? I know that even a simple turning over in bed can lead to an attack like this.
I do hope your doctor is sympathetic and may with a bit of luck send you for physio.
Take care
Kay
Hi bluebell9 I've had this symptoms for a while I've had X-rays and it showed osteoarthritis in hips and lower back but it has got worse and now with my legs starting to hurt it is driving me mad would just for 1 day a week be pain free like everyone must feel thanks for replying xx
Wish you luck at your GP today Shazanabs, I suffer from L4/L5 degenerative back problems. and suffer from back pain involving my legs everyday because they kind of involve the nerves that travels to the legs and with the fibro involved it make the pain one million time worse but you need to ask your GP enough questions until you understand your own particular situations, with this information you know what you are dealing with....xx
I understand your pain, I have been like that for 25 years now I can barely stand or walk and am in a wheel chair. I also have OA and some kind of stenosis in my lower back and a slight curve they found it a few weeks ago. So yes I can sympathise with you on back pain issues. I would not be able to survive with out my hot water bottle it's my best friend. Hubby say's that the bottle gets more hugs than him LOL
Mo
Aww bless you Dizzytwo hope you are feeling as pain free as you possibly can today, it's horrendous pain it has reduced me to tears before now but your quite right a hot water bottle is my life saver your comment made me laugh about your hubby but I bet he understands if a little jealous of your new companion 🙊😊xx
hello Shazanabs and Dizzytwo, yes fantastic but I also have this 'stomach and back heat pad' that I can wrap round my back, leg, shoulder etc and plug in electricity, it is incredible! especially for when I don't have the strength filling up my bottle. :)xx
Somewhere on the internet, try to google it! I cant remember how much anymore, sorry! not that expensive... hope that helps?..xx
Hi Shazanabs
I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I sincerely hope that your pain eases soon for you. I sincerely hope that it went well at the doctors for you also. Please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I go to Hydro therapy which is keeping my sciatica at bay. Ask your GP for a referral to your local Hospital Physio Dept, it is not a miracle cure but getting into that lovely warm water and exercising does help enormously.
Hi Joyia I was referred to hydro but my anxiety got the better of me and I wasn't able to make it, I can not cope with groups of people xx
Low or deficient Vitamin D ?
I had similar pains to yours, I had to work it out myself. Once supplementing on a high (safe) dose of vitamin D3 all my pains - hip, lower back, leg, sciatica, restlesslegs, stiffness, etc. went away almost overnight.
vitamindcouncil.com for safe up to date vitamin D3 doses (NHS doses are set too low) and information on how many illness are prevented or helped by taking vitamin D3.
Hi coastwalker funny you should say that my doctor told me to start taking vitamin D yesterday so I'm going to get some at weekend thank you for replying xx
Most welcome Shazanabs.
My Doctor actually prescribed me what he said was a very high dose of vitamin D. (1000iu) Prescribed only because I said I felt like I was walking slightly bow legged and my vit D bloods were deficient. I also mentioned my painful bum and hip pain, Dr checked my hips and said nothing was wrong with my hips and diagnosed my bum pain as tailbone pain and said I would never get rid of tailbone pain I would just have to learn to live with it. I never mentioned all my other pains as it was too long a list and worried I would be written off.
Well I took the 1000iu and noticed my tailbone pain, hip pain, lower back pain, sciatica, restless legs and stiffness when getting up out of chairs and bed all went almost over night, (yes even my tailbone pain I was told I would never get rid of ) but all pains came back within a few days. A member on another HU site told me 1000iu was a mere maintenance dose and to go by the vitamindcouncil.com for up to date doses.
I now take a safe high dose of 5000iu vitamin D3, once I started on the 5000iu D3 all pains went again over night and stay away unless I forget to take my D3, then most of my pains will come back to remind me later that same day.
You might find it difficult to buy 5000iu D3 locally, I have to buy mine online.
Good luck and do let us know if it works for you too Shazanabs.
Hi coastwalker. My tailbone is very painful along with lower back hips legs neck shoulders the list is endless,I'm certainly going to give it a try and I will let you know how I get on hopefully I do as well as you xx
Good to hear Shazanabs
I never realized that vitamins can be so powerful.
Another tip is to take it with K2 100mcg as K2 helps calcium go to the correct places in your body and K2 takes calcium that has clogged up in the wrong places out and sends it along to where it should be.
Sorry for your pain I have problems with my back too going to a surgent in March the quickest I could get in but I also have problems with walking my left hip an my feet going num I think it is from my back
