Are there any Doctors on this site that suffers with FMA?

Hi Ferdy

The simple answer to your question is no. We are a Support Group not a medical advisory group.

We all suffer from Fibromyalgia and help each other as best we can from our own experiences.

Thank you for replying I was not asking from a medical advisory point of view, but as a number of other fellow sufferers say, I would like to know from various aspects as to what treatments they are using, as to how they are treated by their colleagues etc., best wishes. Ferdy.x

What an interesting question....if there where wouldn't we all like to know what meds they take????

I'd be interested in how they are treated by their colleagues. Do they even feel able to be open with their colleagues about their diagnosis? The same with anyone working in a medical environment, even admin staff. Are they treated well by their colleagues or do they trivialise the condition?

Similarly, have any of you got doctors in your families? If so, do they seem to understand your condition and accept it or dismiss it?

These were my main reasons for asking if we had a Doctor who suffered with FMA. thank you for replying.

It is a very interesting question but as BlueMermaid3 says no as we are not an advisory service. It would be interesting to know how they are treated etc?
