Got my gp phoning at 11.10. And ive got 2 big problems to sort.

The first one is that it is very hard for me to wee naturally and thats been that way since last year when the hospital inserted a catheter but they were rough and it was in wrong and there was lots of blood in my wee. And i tried to get someone to help but no one listened.

The second one is that i have found a hard lump last Thursday back of my head.

As you can see 2 big issues so fingers crossed.

I am fortunate as i have a really good gp so i know he will take me seriously. Yet i still get nervous (i have had a lot of not nice gp or consultants so i do get nervous)

My head feels so uncomfortable at the moment and unusually for me im sleeping a lot.

hi fibrofog im so glad you have a great gp as it really does help to have someone listen to your concerns and take them seriously, im also having problems in the weeing department sometimes feeling like im bursting to go and hardly pass anything and other times i have no sensation of actually passing water and it gets so much worse in the colder months especially at night that ive had to resort to pads at night which i detest and makes me feel so ashamed !! my old gp really didnt care or wasnt intrested so fingers crossed my new gp will help ,i did do some research and some of the medication im on can cause waterworks problems so that being said maybe that could be part of your problem as well but hopefully the doctor can help you work out whats happening ??? Im in the process of talking to the continence team at my new gps and hopefulky we both get the helpvand advice we need, so good luck and let me know what they say and what they suggest i hope the lump you found isnt anything serious and they can sort that for you as well remember stay strong and please let us know what your gp says take care

Hi Ms Fog, I hope they can tinker with your plumbing and make life easier for you. As for lumpy things I have had over sixty removed, from the size of a pea to an orange, so most are nothing to worry about. But saying that get it removed/checked out anyway. Hope things improve.

Doctor has referred me to a continence team and the lump is just a cyst xx

The lump is just a cyst. And i've been referred to the contience team.

So that has now made it clear to me that the reason i feel so bad is because my shunt in my head isnt working which is why my head feels so uncomfortable. But i am having a mri next sunday so it will show up .

Hi there, glad your getting help with your water works.

Sorry but I don't understand what you mean by the shunt in your head is not working. I thought you said it was a cyst? I also have head cysts in my scalp.

Oh i have intracranial hypertension and have a shunt in my head which is meant to control the pressure when it works which it doesn't often and i do have a cyst.

Wow I just googled Intracranial hypertension, so awful, poor you!

I had to have a zoom call with my neurologist, who is great to me unlike pretty much all the others, and still get so nervous. Got a migraine today.

I've had chronic migraines for nearly 30 years which are hard to treat too, even so your condition sounds scary!
