Pills?

I take a lot of medication at least 28 pills. I haven't counted all of them. Does anyone else take a great amount of medication? How do you feel about taking the meds? Sometimes I am resentful as I have to take them everyday. I get tired of taking them especially year after year. How can I change my perspective any help?

Don't know where you find the time for fish, Ken :)

Said I'd get back to you and haven't done so - naughty step for me! Gave it a lot of thought and realised it's not something I can do to order so no good for that job. You have two good people so I don't feel too bad about it.

Gentle hugs. Anna xxx

I liken myself to a tube of Smarties. Take about 20 a day with pain patches, gels and often an anti antacid as well. Have a spreadsheet to help me with ordering. I see all the boxes when I make you the dosette box and my heart drops so you have my sympathy. It doesn't get any easier does it.x

I feel like that every Tuesday while putting my weekly supply in pillbox 1st think I think we're has that week gone and then counting them out πŸ™„ but then I think how would I be without them in a lot more pain than I'm in now so although we don't like taking them they do take the edge off the pain xxx

You are not alone I am on 15 different medications I take 17 different tabs in morning and I Basel spray and puffers for my cops and night time 6 different tap puffer and lImits to help my throat to stay moist I fell like I rattle but with out Therese life savers I wouldn't be writing this the doctors swap mine around about every 5 years all the best

Yes, keep trying to reduce them, but something else always goes wrong ! 75 a week not including asthma meds, homeopathy or supplements !!

I think I'm close to rattling !! 45 pills a day + Insulin twice daily. It appears every time I try to reduce them another gets added on, It's depressing, frustrating and restrictive. Lucky to have partner who acts as my personal Pharmacist..... with Fibrofog etc. I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing. Can only imagine all those little pills having a battle inside to see who comes out on top. Yellow. white, blue, red, pink, Yipee, who will win today ??? I know without them I would be in trouble and my pain would be unimaginable. So I guess a warped sense of humour helps. My coping mechanism.

I've been taking pills for almost 50 years and each year the number increases as I 'collect' yet more medical conditions. I currently take around 48 pills per day but I'm hoping to cut this number considerably by the end of the year as tomorrow I will undergo my second total shoulder replacement and hopefully will be able to cut down on the pain meds. Unfortunately I will need to take a large amount of pills for the rest of my life and like you I'm totally fed up of the whole 'health management' thing which seems to take up an increasing amount of time. I now put them all into a small cup and call it my 'pic n mix' - keeping a sense of humour keeps me going x
