I am very sorry to hear how badly you feel. Unfortunately, it is not only illegal to buy CBD (in higher prescription dose) in many States and countries, it is definitely illegal to ship them. I think your best chance at getting better is to find a new doctor and work closely with him or her to heal. I wish you the very best.

getting a good doctor over is not possible, all they do is telling u, it’s just in ur head.

That you gonna be fine this this

Trust me it’s in the head of some doctors who do not believe pain, have you tried hydrotherapy?

Hi Annaslove, I hope the moderators can give you a couple of links to up to date research that disproves this Doctors belief about Fibromyalgia for you to show them. If they are unwilling to accept it, it’s important to find a Doctor who is sympathetic and up to date if you can.

I don’t know which country you are from but I have noticed that the USA are having an opioid epidemic. People there, whatever condition they have, seem to take a lot of medication of different types.

In the UK there is a hierarchy of pain relief drugs you are offered. First Paracetamol and Ibuprofen, then Amitriptyline or other antidepressants or codeine based tablets, then anti-seizure drugs like pregabalin and finally morphine.

Sometimes you are referred for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, not because it’s in your head so much as a way to cope with chronic pain.

All physical disease can affect our mental well being and so being listened to and having a caring, engaged physician is important in feeling supported.

I hope you will feel that care and support and maybe some tips that can help you on this site?

Hiya Annaslove,

I see u live in Nigeria and so I searched the 2022 Marijuana law section for u. Sadly any form of Marijuana is banned in your country. It isn’t even allowed on prescription. I hope that your country reconsiders that CBD can have health benefits. I suggest u speak to your doctor about your feelings towards taking medications and maybe they will let u sign up for Acupuncture or Hydrotherapy etc. I enclosed the website where I found the information. Gentle hugs 😊🤗

In Nigeria Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is available. Please give it a try.

Normally, when dealing with a dismissive gp I will point out that fibromyalgia is a recognised condition by the NHS therefore is he saying that that nhs is wrong! However, obviously this will not apply in Nigeria.

I don't have any links to hand - but there is plenty of research and science to confirm fibromyalgia as being genuine (the science of fibromyalgia by Daniel Clauw for example)
