I'm taking Gabapentin and Nortryptolene but also take paracetomol too. I have a adverse tolerance to any medication but find I can take these. I still have very bad pain in the morning which eases off a little during the day but then comes back at night. I have recently been diagnosed so I suppose it will take time to sort ot what is best for me. Have a pain free day eveyone.

Pain killers
Hello and Mornin'...I am sorry for your pain and wonder whether you have tried anything stronger than Paracetamol or did you have an adverse reaction to them? I have Tramadol which I find eases things for me but we all react so differently it really is trial and error!! But I do hope you can find one soon which will help.....Gentle hug xx
It seems trial and error is the key. What works for some won't work for others.
I hope you can find something that works for you
Thank you
Hello Trish4426
Welcome to the forum 😊 I am sorry to hear that you have Fibromyalgia.
You may find it interesting to have a look at our mother site. There is a lot of info about Fibro on there fmauk.org
Do you know if you are on the maximum dose of Gabapentin and Nortriptyline? If not make an appointment to see your GP to discuss it with him/her.
It can take years to find a regime that works for you. Including the right set of meds, gentle stretching (if you can manage it) and keeping as mobile as you can.
My personal advice to you would be to learn as much about Fibro as you possibly can.
For some of us there is not a medication that can take all of our pain away and we have to do our best to use extra help in the form of hot water bottles, heat pads, deep freeze gels and sprays to name a few.
Wishing you less pain and more peace

Hi Trish4426
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are struggling and suffering so much, and I would give your medications a bit of time and then discuss how you are getting on with them with your GP. It can take a bit of time to adjust to them but if you do not then your GP may be able to tweak them for you.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
