don't recall if posted this.if i have please forgive me. been going through so much recently that can't think straight. i've just been diagnosed with osteoporosis. this on top of fibro, bulging discs, cervical stenosis, and on and on. i have a tendency to have rather bad to really bad reaction to many medications. the dr. wants me to do reclast which is an infusion that is 30 minutes and helps with the osteo. for one year. having gone on line to check out what others have said i've found so many had horrible reaction to this medication to the degree they say it has ruined their life by taking this infusion. has anyone done the reclast infusion? if so, how did it go? if not , what are you doing instead? we live in a three story house. really don't even want to think about a broken bone. thanks for any advise...

Sorry Nadine I cannot answer your question about the infusion but I really do hope you find the answer that you are looking for. I don't know if there is such a thing but is there are forum like this for osteoporosis which can help? xx

i'm doing same as you-vit. d and calcium. i didn't know that more than 400 of calcium at a time just goes through one's body so i've started taking it twice a day. am thinking of upping it to 3 times a day since i'm lactose intolerant so have little source of natural calcium. i've read there are a couple new meds in the pipeline except doubt they will be available for years. i admit that i've become too sedentary so am trying to do a bit of stretching every other day. it's hard though since live in a world of pain. exercising just makes it worse for me. i heard there is a new machine that kind of moves your body while you stand. my fibro nurse recommended it except it's very pricey plus there are studies that say it isn't helpful. do you know anything about it?

Some gyms have a vibrating plate machine, that is supposed to help those with mobility problems get the benefits of exercise. Is that what you mean?

Hi my friend

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and I sincerely hope that your medications help alleviate the degradation of your bone density. I was diagnosed quite a few years ago and I have twice daily acrette D3 and weekly Alendronic Acid. I have mine orally but it can give you stomach issues if you are prone to stomach problems.

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
