I am writing this post to you all today to share how wonderful and blessed I have been for the last nine years with my little westie Mildred who sadly passed away yesterday.......she was really quite an amazing little dog, she would sit with me all day when I had bad days, she knew when I was unable to take her out and loved a ride in the car, she came every where with us, she was patient, calm and loving.
It is now as I sit here that I realise how therapeutic she was in my life with the ongoing struggles with fibromyalgia and other associated conditions that impact me each day.
Wishing you all much comfort and love x

So sorry to hear your sad news. But so glad for you that you got to share her life with her which clearly gave you both so much pleasure and happiness.
Try to remember the good times. We never forget them but hopefully the pain will get easier in time.
I have wondered at times why we do this! We bring these beautiful animals into our lives knowing one day our hearts will break....then we do it all over again!! Those years together are so special and we remember each one and their own particular personality. They give us so much in love and loyalty.....My thoughts and prayers are with you.....
So sorry to hear this - Time does heal but unfortunately not very quickly. I still miss my beautiful white cat and it is over four years now. Sending you a big hug X
So sorry about little Mildred but at least you got to spend all those years with her.
It's still such an awful wrench when they leave us and really pulls on the heart strings.
They certainly have a sense when they know what your going thru- almost human.
I lost my two cats a few years ago and never replaced them as I felt they were irreplaceable.Sometimes I regret not doing so but other times I Felt I made the right decision.
Bless for your kind words from experience.... I so agree. Thank you for your comforting words of support, very much appreciated xxx
So sorry to hear your sad. Our pets are part of the family and it's always a struggle when something like this happens. Lost our 14 year old X breed last year. I've grown up with wearied all my life - my aunt breeds them they are delightful little dogs.
I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss, it's the awful part of sharing our lives with these little creatures. I hope you're able to take comfort from knowing that Mildred will have known how much you loved her and that she had a happy life with you. She was a lucky little dog to be so loved. These little ones leave their pawprints on our hearts forever, they never really leave us.
Yes so true, and just to mention her vet sent us a card and her paw print today.....what a lovely surprise. Thank you so much for your kind words of support xxx
So sorry you have lost your loving companion and yes it leaves a big gap. They are a wonderful breed of dog my friend has one and he is such a character beloved a massage. He will ride in anything they went on a boating holiday and he was like Captain Jack and took everything in his stride. I know you will truely miss her.🐕🐕🐕x
Thank you, and yes they are beautiful natured dogs....Mildred loved a massage, a ride in the car and lots of trips out with us, classic car shows, beach, holidays and lots of parks! We shall miss her. I hope you have a great day.
So very sad to hear of your loss. She looks such a lovely dog. My friend had a westie called Toby, he was a real character, full of mischief. We never forgot our dear pets, they are always in our memories.
