Hi all my name is hayley I'm 32 and have been diagnosed with fybromyalgia and am still under going further test as I seem to have developed RLS which is apparently quite common. I do work full time and am married with 4 children it is now becoming increasingly difficult to manage all aspects of my life as I can't get pain or tiredness under control. I currently taking multiple meds including vitamins but nothing is working. I am now contemplating trying therapies such as rheki or accapuncture if anyone has tried these I would love to know if they helped. 😊

HI

I am a great believer in all complementary therapy's but they don't work for all I think you have to believe it for it to work .

I learnt Reiki but attending a Reiki share group

I was taught that Reiki is free everyone has the ability to do it but it is a gift to receive and only a donation should be given not a fee made .

It annoys me so when many call themselves Reiki practitioners and charge a fortune for a free gift.

Does it work ,well I inherited the most snappy Jack Russell ever he loved it, became calm and a lap dog .When he was two he developed a lump on his gum by his nose , It was removed by laser sent of to Histology and I was told he may have a few months if he was lucky ,Two years later I still had him regrow in same place .Vets asked Histology to look at original lump remove and they said it was not possible for him to have survived .

Removed by laser again and all the vets in practice said we don't understand what you do but we are certain he is only here due to that .

cancer came when he was 3 and at 11 years of age I had to call it a day.

He had Reiki, Reflexology and body massage.

So apart from it being a Miracle

I would say go with a open mind and see how you feel after

Look for a Reiki Share group in you area.

Best Wishes Rose

Heya. I'm sorry you're in so much pain it must be so difficult with your responsibilities aswell.

I dont know how much you know about reiki so if I'm telling you stuff you already know just ignore me!

I found receiving reiki relaxing and lovely but not hugely beneficial for pain. However once I got my Reiki I attunement and started self healing every day, that really reduced my pain levels, it was great.

If you want to get your reiki I, try to get a recommendation for a good responsible reiki master, who won't charge you too much, and will attune you in a small group, not a huge group. They should teach you how to ground and protect yourself energetically. I paid I think about £50 for my reiki I, which was maybe 3-4 hours. It shouldn't be more than £100 as its only an initial fairly simple attunement. A tip if you feel a bit spacey after your attunement (which I did for a week afterwards) is too grid your bed in grounding crystals such as hematite or smokey Quartz (which you need to cleanse afterward), and try to spend some time in nature, especially woodland. If you have any questions feel free to comment or PM me.

I really hope you find some relief soon- it's good your looking at the holistic route. As long as you are careful with who you see, and don't ever spend too much money on it, you will very likely benefit from it..

Best wishes,

Hedgehog. Xx

Sorry I just read the acupuncture bit. Personally I would not go for acupuncture for fibro. Fibro is caused (so it's thought) by an over sensitised nervous system, and acupuncture can be painful and stimulating to the nervous system which can make fibro worse. I was told this by an excellent physio I had once, and backed up by my own experience of very painful acupuncture that didn't help at all. The physio told me you need to do things that calm your nervous system down, like gentle aromatherapy massage, relaxation music, deep breathing, yoga, meditation, warm lavender baths etc. Acupuncture can be helpful for things like back pain, but not generally for fibro and CFS, although there are obviously exceptions.

That's my opinion anyway!

Xx
