Hi I am new here I have suffered with fibromyalgia for years now and also have other conditions too, but the one thing my Mum told me to do is make friends with your pain don't fight it, use it or lose it which is the mantra try to stick too, its nice to know that out there are people in the same position so you don't feel so lonely as only someone who has the condition truly knows how you feel. I am 65 years old and lve in North Yorkshire.

Hello to you all
Hi there
Welcome to the forum You have just made yourself a whole new bunch of friends.
You may like to have a look at our mother site for a wealth of information on Fibromyalgia fmauk.org
Fibro is an incredibly lonely illness. It not being bad enough that no one can see the pain that we are in, but we often times have to cancel arrangements due to illness.
On this forum you will get a huge amount of care and support. There is someone around most of the time, so please do feel free to join in any conversations going or post away with any questions you may have.
I look forward to chatting with you again.
Wishing you less pain and more peace

Hello and welcome!
Good to hear that you have a positive mantra. There is no point in battling against the Pain, because it always wins!!!!
There are plenty of us here who totally understand how you feel. You live in such a beautiful area of the country, I lived in North Yorkshire for 5 years and I still miss it a lot, we returned for a visit a few weeks ago and it brought back lots of great memories.xxx
Hi Phelbo
Thank you for your welcome, yes people say it is Gods on Country, now I can't walk like I used to we bought a motorhome so my husband says we can still see the places, we are away most weekends, you don't have to go abroad to see fantastic scenery we have it in this country.
Yes you always have your memories of how things used to be they can't be taken away from you.
Keep smiling :>) Xx
Hi Mackembabe
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcoem to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read that you also have Fibro and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck my friend. Please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Ken
Thank you very much for the warm welcome, it just makes you feel better with knowing there are other people out there who knows what it all entails, as the list of effects it has on your body is endless, my poor Dr feel so sorry for him when I go and see him he feels so bad that he can't help, but hey there are people worse off. I always say a laugh a day is better then a pill so lets just keep on smiling :>) Do what you can when you can at least you know you have achieved something through all the pain.
Friendly wishes to you all
