Mouth Pain after Dentist

Hi...I had a lot of work at the dentist today and my mouth is really sore...I think it's where the injection went in and I can see and feel a sort of ulcer :( I have just taken some nurofen but I don't feel like eating much although i am cooking something.

Does anyone else get this after having an injection? It seems to be worse than usual because of where the tooth was, I guess. At the top right at the back.

Hello, I am sorry to hear your in pain.

I'm in pain regardless of what they do at the dentist. I also get an extremely painful jaw - I can't even chew my food for too long before it aches.

I wish I could be more helpful,

Be Well,

Thanks Holly. It doesn't usually hurt this much afterwards but I think it's where the injection's been i.e. in my cheek rather than in the tooth. Sorry too to hear about your reactions.

Hi

Sometimes the injection site can be a little tender and back teeth are the biggest so if you have one extracted it is bound to feel tender .

Try not to touch it and leave it to heal

I am sure dentist gave you a after care leaflet

hope Nurofen works

And you get some sleep tonight

Best Wishes Rose

Thanks Rose. It wasn't an extraction but it was refilling the very back tooth..I think it was the injection site that has left my cheek sore but it will probably wear off in the next few days. x

Sorry your having a problem if going to the dentist isn't bad enough.Try rinsing your mouth with very warm, not hot salt water. I think it will help.Good luck.Peck.🐤 th

Thanks Peck. Yes that's a good healing method which I've tried for various mouth things in the past so thanks for reminding me.

Hi FoggyMoggy

I am so genuinely sorry to read this, and I sincerely hope that it heals soon for you. It is not something that I have perosnally experienced but it sounds dreadful and sore. Please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Thanks Ken. The dentist said it was a big filling so she's not surprised I've got soreness. She said it could be sore for a couple of days and advised Corsidol.

I am delighted that your teeth are feeling better but so genuinely sorry to read about your shoulder, it is one thing after another with Fibro isn't it! x
