Feeling itchy

I always get this feeling its rather annoying! I asked my doctors who told me it probably is but I do feel they say anything is related to push you away! Do you find it worse when it is hot? I scratch myself raw to be honest but do find thick creams like Astra can stop the irritation if you use it sooner rather than later... Either that or we are maybe finally going insane! xx

Hi Laura. I feel it most of the time regardless the weather. I've been using aqueous cream just see how that goes. As far as going insane that started years ago lol. X

Does it feel like something is crawling ON the skin, or UNDER it? And how long does it last for? In my experience (as I'm not a doctor of course), if it doesn't last too long and it feels like they are ON your skin and not under it, then it is probably a nerve that is a bit irritated and I've washed the area with soap and water, just to make the feeling fade a bit by providing a 'distracting sensation' sort of thing.

However if it feels like ants or something like that crawling UNDER the skin, that is a classic sign of nerve damage (it could be something that will go right on it's own, but I would suggest you see a doctor as soon as you can for peace of mind if it does feel like that). In my case, I do know I have nerve damage, so as long as it is in the usual place, I just try to ease it off as best as I can.

I had itchiness constantly at the beginning of my fibromyalgia and could not stop it - then I changed my diet completely To a pure diet - lots of fruit veg white meat fish and no processed foods , no gluten/wheat and minimal sugar - worked for me !!! 😊😊

Yes, probably in get this sensation sometimes like something is burrowing into my skin, other times it feels like an electrical pulse.
