I will be having a assessment shortly, I'm worried as I don't have anyone to go with me.

Hi sorry you are going on your own I've just been awarded pip all I did was go in and be truthful my examiner was really nice so fingers crossed for you I will be thinking of you

Please may I suggest you lock your post?

My advice to you would be to Google for a Disability Advocate and get on the phone first thing tomorrow to see if you can find anyone available to go with you.

There are different charities and organisations etc that you can ask. You could also contact the CAB and ask them.

There is also Welfare Rights. They may have someone who could accompany you.

If your post is not locked absolutely anyone with access to the internet could read your post and replies.

If you lock your post everything stays just within our community x

Here are simple steps about how to lock posts:

You can tell that a post is locked by looking at the end of the title of the post. If there is a small black padlock there, then the post and all of the replies are locked.

The rules say you can take someone with you but I had know one and it went against me it should not have been taken into consideration as you can go alone if it goes against you that should be pointed out to the DWP I am waiting for my appointment for reassessment and I will have to go alone

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you do not have anyone to attend your PIP assessment with you, and I was wondering if you had any friends on the forum who could go with you? If you do, you could possibly place a post just stating which town / area your assessment is in (*and ask if anyone would like to attend with you?) Then sort it out via the ''Private Messaging'' system?
