Good morning all.

I'm in a ranting mood so here goes.I'm still recovering after my surgery from Feb 8th& the 16th of Feb.

Just when you think it's all over boom...go to Dr and another abcess.I really am not impressed with the surgeon no response from him since my surgery except the appointment I booked and he told me well you'll be fine Its not like I gave. You bowel cancer.

Well thanks Dr.only for my family Dr I'm be doomed. She is amazing still feeling ๐Ÿ˜ซ tired lots of cramping and pain but losing almost 30 lbs is not so great either.makes you feel depressed.I'm sure ill get it back but life now is in the dumps.A regular colonoscopy and this is what I get.A perforated bowel and I feel like I'm a walking time bomb.

It sure messed withyourmind.I always wonder with each cramp omg...another abcess..it's amazing how the mind controls that thought..Well sorry for the rant I'm living alone and my fibro family I know I have.

Thanks all for listening to my ranting & racing.Hope you are all doing well.ย

Gentle hugs & ๐Ÿ’˜ love going out your way.

Barb.๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you Demi.

Yes thank you for listening to my rant. The mental anguish is sometimes worse than the pain.

Good news though they gave me tramadol in the hospital for pain relief and I feel like I'm not in such pain with my fibro..positive !!.

Wishing you all the best in your health.

Gentle hugs.

I'm not surprised that your feeling down. What a shame that you have to go through that. But you are home now so it's time to heal. You are bound to worry about the access, I'd be more worried about you if you didn't. It will be difficult but you'll get there in the end. Im glad you felt able to tell us about it, that's what we're here for.

Hope you feel better soon ๐Ÿธ

If you take one paracetamol capsule per Tramadol you will find it works even better! I was taught that by a pain consultant. Apparently it's something to do with the way it enters the blood stream. I've been doing that for years now and it really makes a difference. I get the paracetamol on prescription too. Try it! Make sure it's capsules though so that they both 'melt' at the same time ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿธ

Thank you..yes I'll let my Dr know that..

I do take a Tylenol. X strength and then the tramadol.a half an hour in between each perhaps I'll try them together ..I'm sure my Dr will be fine with that.

That's how they did it in the hospital too. May I ask you how often and at what times do you take the tramadol and Tylenol.

Thanks again.

I don't take Tylenol. But I take 8 Tramadol a day, with 8 paracetamol. The other thing I was taught was to maintain pain relief rather than waiting until it gets bad. So I take 2 of each at 6 and 12, both am and pm. Not always bang on time, but as near as possible. It works so well that I forget to take them during the day, not often I may add, but by 4pm I realise my mistake as the pain hits. I have had to get into a routine with it. For me, it's such a help with the pain. I hope that helps a bit ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿธ

Thank you.

Yes pain relief is the best.I like you thinking.I was told also by my family Dr to take the meds before the pain comes on to keep it under control. It does make a difference.

Thanks for all the tips.you've been so helpful....and. It's great to know that I have your support.

Thank you.

Sorebones Tylenol is the American name for Paracetamol - it is very confusing isn't it with the same drug being called different names in different countries.x

Aww sorry you suffering thinking of you love big hugs jill xx

Hi Barb

You poor thing! My heart goes out to you.

Please, complain to the hospital if you feel that you're not getting good service. I can assure you they will take notice! My uncle was ill with cancer and was only early 60's, his wife didn't feel he was getting enough help, or that the family were being told everything. On behalf of them my father, (as it was his lovely brother) contacted the hospital etc and they certainly took notice then! They changed their attitudes and his family also got more info etc. Unfortunately, he did die in Feb and will be greatly missed, but still in our hearts. At least he got better help and his family felt everything was done for him.

Please don't go on suffering. I know it can be hard to summon up the strength to complain, but it might help and the Drs need to know that they are not infallible.

I hope that you get the help you need soon, my thoughts are with you.

Take care and best wishes.
