Pain
Gin and tonic! No!! Not seriously, but if you do get a useful answer I will be reading it with interest. It's one of my nasties. I put a heat wrap on my neck (thermacare neck wrap, lasts 12 hours) and it really helps the pain. I have degenerative disc so have been using them for years and they help the pain in my arms and somewhat help my hands. The arthritis gloves are good for pain as well. They keep your hands warm and give some support.
Hope you find some relief very soon. It's not nice!! 🐸
Lol thank you i will try to get that and.the neck wrap lol x
G&T - absolutely! Does the tonic contain real quinine? Not all tonics do. and that's what you need.
I use a neck wrap too but one of the shorter lasting bean bag types you heat in the microwave. I also have a dozen pillows on my bed including a double body one that keeps my ankles and knees apart and allows for a smaller pillow under my neck. I keep the temperature of the house water and I used to be the one turning everything down or off! I also use a caspian cream which is very strong chilli pepper based cream, it's very effective but you have to wear disposable gloves and not get any anywhere else Mine is neck, shoulder arm and elbow pain. Support splints can be worn for tour wrists and something similar for your elbow.,but continuing gentle movement to stop locking up I was told a good idea. The other thing is the different painkillers you have tried and have worked and the GP has prescribed we have people on non or just paracetamol all the way up to morphine and everything in between
Good luck, you manage it if necessary get referred to hospital but first step GP for better pain management and perhaps a referral to a physio.
Good luck Patrick.
If it's really bad and regular med is not helping may need to see gp.Good luck.Peck☺
Hi dawnlancaster
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling so much and I sincerely hope that your pain eases soon. I tend to use a TENS Machine when my pain gets too much for me, but this could only be used on your lower neck, and not upper neck.
If this is becoming a regular or persistent issue I would get ti checked out just in case there is another medical condition at work here? Please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken x
