Lovely, I'm someone who has lots of links to Guernsey and Sark, a friend was Govenor  in Guernsey and another friend was the brother of the Seigneur of Sark, and a friend of my father was evacuated to his family during the war and they remained in touch until my father died.  I've been many, many times to Government House and to a friend's house the other end of the island.  I've also spent many  happy hour tramping round both Sark and Herm, but I've never actually been to either Alderney or Jersey.

Thanks for the sunny pic., it does cheer one up, especially as we've just had a hail storm 😳😳

As my wise thirteen year old boy said, we need the rain for all the flowers and trees this summer Dad! Hard to be a grumpy git with that enthusiasm!

My best friend is in Jersey for the weekend and has just reported in that the weather is not much better there!

Well it beats pictures of flattened tents in the snow and distraught campers and their children who have lost their camping kit.  With a decent family tent costing £800 - £1200 they are not going to be able to replace them soon.

But then as someone else said. " they knew what the forecast was, so why go."  I still feel sorry for them though.
