Under active tyroid
Can I suggest you try asking on the Thyroid forum. You should get a good answer there. Not sure we Fibromites will be able to help. I'm happy to be proved wrong on this 🐸
Yes, try the Thyroid UK forum here on Health Unlocked, Hollie. A TSH of 3.5 sounds a bit high to me, but I'm no expert on this. I know from the thyroid forum here that there are people with TSH lower than that who still feel terrible. So ask for advice on there - it may be that your daughter needs to push for thyroid hormone replacement.
Hi Hollie121,
I have pasted you an excerpt from the Daily Telegraph on this issue. As the others have said it would be better to ask on the thyroid forum as they would know more about this than we do. I want to genuinely wish your daughter all the best of luck.
*TSH is made in the pituitary gland, which controls thyroid hormone levels. A “normal” range of TSH is roughly between 0.4 and four milliunits per litre (mU/L). Lower than this can indicate an overactive thyroid, while more than four could be a sign of underactivity.22 Sep 2014

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ideal level is 1 as 3.5 in the US is still seen as hypo.
Best wishes

Thank you it was actually 3.85 does that mean under active
Dear Holly.
Yes it does mean under active.
Google a brilliant thyroid site called. Stop The Thyroid Madness. It will help you to understand why 3.5 is still under active.
Best wishes.
